Moshiri On Lukaku Contract Refusal

Right lads, remember when Moomin stated Rom must be off despite what his agent and our chairman have said, don't get taken in by this.

WAIT AND SEE BEFORE CRYING

I've never said he was off.

His agent has told the media one thing but obviously been up-to something else.

As for Moshiri statements, did you honestly believe the McCarthy is part of the family one? Do you honestly believe currently we don't have an issue with the player and agent?

The main thing in our favour is that Rom won't want to remain on the wages he's on for another 2 years when he could double them. I wonder if they're just haggling over the buyout clause.

Yeah, probably the various conditions it can be activated.
For me it's got to be world record fee. His value for us will drop by the end of next transfer window, so if he has not signed he will be sold prior to it ending.

No one honestly knows what's going on now mate , and that how it will go untill the summer now

Does make me laugh though, the whole 'I want to play CL' business. I wonder how enriching an experience Spurs' CL involvement was this year?
Call it what it is, the Runners up league, and it starts getting less attractive.

Can't get my head around the reward mentally of thinking that 'transferring to' a runners up league club, is any way better than contributing towards 'becoming' a runners up league club.

I suppose it's part of the instant gratification mentality that comes hand in hand with earning - sorry - being handed a decade's wages each week.

This has been my thought since news broke yesterday and these words from Moshiri seem to imply that alls not done and dusted.

I'm not sure how I feel tbh. I really want Rom to stay but I also dont want the club to roll over and give in to demands.

Is there a compromise in there sonewhere?. Acceptable to both parties. I hope so but if not sorted by the summer we need to move on.

One player doesnt mean the end of Everton. Atletico manage these situations every 2/3 years. Look how Spurs have evolved after losing Bale.

Whatever the outcome Everton are still on the up. Don't allow this potential setback to let the doom mongerers take over again.
