Still laughing about all the stick people had given me on here over the past few days regarding Moshiri.

Looks like I pretty much nailed it before he even did the interview.

Remember that poster who was trying to say I was wrong to call Moshiri the 'majority shareholder', when Moshiri himself used those exact two words to describe himself during the interview?lol

Or that other fella who was claiming Moshiri hadn't put a penny into the club and I mentioned he'd paid off the debts?lol

Very heartened by everything he said, and glad I kept the faith.

Ah thanks. I woke up down here with the news of the interview and over 40 pages. Not going to read them all. ;)
Any general excitement?

lots of excitment. moshiri came over ok. the usmanov link just wont seem to go away. who knows? but one thing for sure, the mosh is going to need more investors to build the stadium. AU cant invest while he's involved with arsenal.. so who knows?

the interview has been threadmarked i believe.

I heard it mate. Twice. While I believe he will be great for us off field, from the beginning I have said his biggest challenge will be getting us to compete on field. He doesn't have the finances as the big boys do and can't do it alone. This is where he will need assistance.

End of the day summary. From my point of view of course.

Moshiri has stuck his neck on the line BIG time. He has given a live interview to (to quote their advert) 'the world's biggest sports radio station' and laid out his hopes and ambitions for the club. This interview has in turn been churned out repeatedly all day on every level of media. Notably on Sky Sports all day.

Now one thing about Mr Moshiri we all know, is that he rubs shoulders with the super-rich. His closest friend and business partner is one of these fellas. Moshiri isn't going to go on record, as he has, with the intention of not delivering and losing face to these people. He will do all he can to deliver what he aims for. He will do all he can to impress them. He will build a stadium that will impress us all. He will build a team to take on the best. He will build our club into a force to be reckoned with.

Why?

Because for him to fail in front of his friends just isn't an option. His friends don't do failure. Neither does he.

Goodnight blues.

Hope so mate. Time will hopefully show all that to be true.

I found him to be very genuine in that interview and I do believe he is exactly what we need to deliver the stadium and long term growth of the club. We have been crying out for some communication of his plans and I think he has delivered on that.

The upcoming January window is a big test for him now. Koeman and Walsh should be clear now on what we need. Lessons must have been learned from the summer window and the Stones money is wasted if we don't spend big in January. He correctly highlighted the limitations of FFP but he can't do that and not maximise the opportunity given to him by the Stones departure.
