Moshiri, all sounds very positive to me, thought as much since he arrived.
Surprised some remain sceptical but I suppose it's hard to believe good things can happen to Everton, especially if you've been on this crazy train for as long as me

Surprised at the sceptics? We didn't spend a penny in his only transfer window. I'm surprised people aren't sceptical - they should be.

While im surprised by people that arent sceptical, im equally surprised at the doom mongering and vitriol that some are levelling. Hes had one window in which we spent quite handsomely on Bolasie, Koeman, Williams albeit losing Stones (who evidently wanted to leave). The stadium seems to be gathering pace from sources outside the club. Indications are that the club is debt free or significantly reduced in that regard and the focus from the rhetoric is that we are looking to change the board, increase our commerical revenue and have fund available for the future - this is ye to be seen if it will be achieved but its been laid out as a goal.

You cannot do all of that in one window and Moshiri has stated the stadium is the key and as such a priority. ill be judging based on that and a prgression of the squad over more than one window. I remain sceptical as to if he will bring us properly to the point of challenging in the league but for now he is still getting the benefit of the doubt for me, based on what he is aspiring to do - not promising to do.

I think a degree of scepticism is healthy tbh. Absolute blind support leads to complacency, which, maybe for example, could lead to a chairman losing sight of the bigger picture, failing to plan, failing to be serious about finding investment and then presiding over one of the least successful periods in the clubs history. For example.

End of the day summary. From my point of view of course.

Moshiri has stuck his neck on the line BIG time. He has given a live interview to (to quote their advert) 'the world's biggest sports radio station' and laid out his hopes and ambitions for the club. This interview has in turn been churned out repeatedly all day on every level of media. Notably on Sky Sports all day.

Now one thing about Mr Moshiri we all know, is that he rubs shoulders with the super-rich. His closest friend and business partner is one of these fellas. Moshiri isn't going to go on record, as he has, with the intention of not delivering and losing face to these people. He will do all he can to deliver what he aims for. He will do all he can to impress them. He will build a stadium that will impress us all. He will build a team to take on the best. He will build our club into a force to be reckoned with.

Why?

Because for him to fail in front of his friends just isn't an option. His friends don't do failure. Neither does he.

Goodnight blues.

He cared enough after failing to bring in big-names on Transfer deadline day to use the McCarthy family excuse. He knew Sissoko rejected us but he cared about his new club enough to bring out a line in the media. He knew the club. He knows the players. And he did that out of love. Silence would not be good. Moshiri knows what he's doing. He has bought this club and wants the best for him and his club. He has to stay within FFP rules within wage structure but wants us top 4 in the next couple of seasons. He is buying a new stadium and he is committed to the club. Nothing can deny this. He has made us debt-free and is doing his utmost best and criticising him as if we are going to randomly challenge for the league is ridiculous. He wants Koeman to succeed and he wants Koeman to help and push the club forward. Give him a chance. ;)
