Been quiet in here for a few weeks but heading rapidly to October.
A few late nights for me recently and, with the smallest budget in the sport, what the Rays have already achieved is unbelievable:
63.2% since the all star game
They've just finished a 6 game run against the Yankees and Red Sox ending 5-1. 3 of those were walk offs
In fact they've won the last 8 games that went to extra innings
They restricted the Yankees to 1 run in 2 games, with Morton pitching a 1 hitter.
Despite all that, they may need to sweep the Blue Jays (taking them within 2 of 100 wins) to get a wild card spot. Unbelievable.
Mega excited at the moment. And the last 2 games are 9pm UK time!!
