It was a logical move, just didn't work out as intended.

Most would have JV on 3 days' rest going against Tampa at their yard v. an untested rookie (Urquidy). If the Astros won, then Cole starts GM1 v the Yankees with 2 days of extra rest and either JV on 5 days rest or Greinke with JV to follow in NY. Even so, should Cole win tomorrow the Astros are still set up to throw JV and Cole each 2x v the Yankees should they win their starts (and we lose all the other starts).

I'm off to Houston tomorrow to yell my lungs out at the yard.
Oh I understand the logic behind the move, just don’t like it.
Yell on my behalf as well. I had to turn down a ticket to game 1 of the ALCS due to prior commitments

First, major props to Howie Kendrick, the pride of Callahan, FL. Got to love on the local hero.

Second - is it harder to be a Mets fan or a Dodgers fan? Talk about the hope killing you, year after year after year. They are no doubt still the best team in the NL.

Cubs nation backs the Nats. Don't make me back the Yankees, that's all I ask. Get them NOW. Braves... SMH.

Best of luck against the Yankees. You had it in the first - fortunately I was still sleeping then!!

No way were we getting the better of Cole.

PS: Glasnow - tipping pitches or stealing signs?

Gerrit Cole is a beast.

That is all.
Big night for you boys tonight (if it's not rained off). You look a different side if Verlander/Cole aren't pitching, but would be massive if you go 3-1 up.

Didn't see the Nats getting to the final at all. I was hoping they'd do it, then I saw a full stadium doing the baby shark dance to celebrate and felt physically sick. Everything I hate about American sport.

Well, sure. Cole and JV are the two best starters in the American League.

Hopefully our bats sync up and they start performing as they have most of the season. After the Yankee fans cheered when Bregman got plunked in the back with a pitch I'd be more than happy to take the next 2 games and celebrate in their faces at their own yard.

Nats are a hot team with excellent starting pitching. HOU and WAS know each other pretty well despite not playing in regular season. They share a Spring Training complex in Palm Beach.
