I didn't see that. It's more than just a regular win.
It's psychological advantage
It takes any Houston home field advantage out of the equation
And Cole is out of the picture for the next 3.

Is that 6 wins in a row now for the Nats? Wow.

As I say, I had this one down as a sure fire Houston win. Lines up for a cracking series.

PS: still rooting for the Houston on the basis that no team that does a baby shark dance deserves to be in the Major Leagues, let alone the WS.

Not hanging my head or all that gutted. Not after 107 regular season wins, an AL pennant and a 7-game World Series that so easily could have gone our way.

What a weird WS with 7 games won away from home, many of them pretty comfortably.

That team has some guts given the number of times they've looked down and out from the start of the season, to the wild card, to innings 8 vs the Dodgers, all the way to Grienke seeing off 6 innings last night.

What a fascinating World Series—can’t really think of a comparable one. Nats just have had the ability to get clutch hits in big situations and Stras and Scherzer’s starts. A lot has been made of Hinch pulling Greinke and going with Harris rather than Cole, but they would have really benefitted from having a lefty in the pen to deal with Eaton and Soto.

Was a great series, watched all 7 games, crazy that it was always road teams winning, good stuff.
