Currently watching the MVP in waiting (again) at the Angels, but they're getting smashed by the Pirates - their pitching and fielding has been awful. 9-2 at top of the sixth now.

Saw the Dodgers at the weekend too - been interesting to contrast the two. Dodgers feels more like a settled club and an awesome stadium (plus I loved central LA), but the stadium experience here is pretty good (and beer is $4.50 compared to $16 at the Dodgers). Plus the whole franchise move doesn't sit well with a Brit like me even if it was nearly 70 years ago.

As an aside for this thread, gutted I missed LAFC last night but caught on TV. Poor quality but high entertainment and the crowd was mental.

Last day of a 2 week West Coast trip and watching Yankees at the As. I could get used to this - such a great way to spend an evening.

That's 3 games for less than $50 in total by the way.

So I was in Houston this past week and attended all 4 games of the Astros v Mariners series. My son joined me for the last game on Sunday, which was an epic 21-1 drubbing of Seattle by Houston. Tonight Oakland hit town still seeking a wild card playoff spot. Houston beat them 15-0. All kinds of offensive records were set in the last two games. 36 runs scored is absurd.

Perhaps lost in all the fireworks is that Houston pitching allowed a total of 4 hits and 1 walk in the two games.

I was hoping the M's could at least make it a 21-3 football style loss. Barely have bothered with watching. I get the sad news via notification on a daily basis.

3 more of those please. From a Rays fan.

Can your Astros schedule a series with the Cardinals, please?

Jinxed that didn't I? Some WC chase between these 3 mind.
Ha. More like Wade Miley having a second consecutive massive meltdown followed by a succession of AAAA-level pitchers to save the pen. Sadly, tonight's game will also be a procession of young, unproven pitchers. Hope for a different outcome (for us and for you).
