Current Affairs Missing woman in Lancashire

They went so early with their call on no abduction, that you'd think they'd have found her in the river by now.

I suppose they are just certain that she didn't leave the park. I don't know - utterly bizarre.

It‘s all a bit strange. The river would have been crawling with frogmen by now, it’s not that big or flowing. There’s something they are keeping back, or they are being led by a moron……

The problem the police have now, given that it’s been over a week with no developments. If she is found in the water, you can guarantee people won’t accept she has fallen in. It will be she was thrown in, foul play etc.

Hopefully she is found alive and well, but given the time that’s gone by and with her having two young children, I don’t think that will be the outcome.

I pray that she is found alive, and I hope she has been abducted and the Police are on the trail…..

Has anyone seen the underwater forensic expert guy doing the rounds on the news? He's saying it's very unlikely she is in the river, otherwise she would have been found by now. He's says in rivers like this, usually a body doesn't travel far. The current's just aren't that strong unless it floods.

What a nasty man (and a disgusting TV channel)

I don’t know what the Police are up to but I’m not impressed….

Fortunately impressing you isn't the Police's main objective

Got a mate who's wife works for the feds. She's told us about the training she's had which draws on how they've handled famous cases.

My suspicion is that it's deliberate. They don't want someone to know what they know and/ or they're hoping someone slips up.

Could be wrong, like.

His team are now assisting with the search.

It’s all very weird. My initial thought was that the police have an idea what has happened, that a third party is involved, but that they don’t want to give the game away to the third party. Unfortunately I believe the poor woman is dead whatever the real story…….
Didn't they do something similar with Karen Matthews case? As in they knew she was involved straight away, b t let her carry on with press etc.. I'm not suggesting this in any way similar btw

Something smells fishy with this one (no pun intended).

Seems to me that the bench, phone, doggos ball and river are a setup. It all feels like a theatrical set.

My guess is she was never at the river. She was snatched and the scene was faked to create the illusion that she’d fallen in the river.

I appreciate murder documentaries , podcasts and conspiracies abound and have changed the world but sometimes Occam’s razor does just apply .

I also accept that plod have hardly covered themselves in glory over the years but in most cases were they think something doesn’t involve someone else then I’d suspect it doesn’t . Probably over 200 people have been reported missing since Nicola bulley was last seen but this one has grabbed the public attention and sparked numerous theories . I’m not saying they’re wrong , I don’t know but just like Corrie mckeague for all the wild speculation the actual truth was incredibly sad and pretty dull .

I think if she was abducted. You wouldn’t leave the phone on the bench next to the water. The phone would be lashed in. Doesn’t make logical sense.

I don’t know a lot about it but they released footage of people who they described as witnesses who they’ve traced . That would indicate to me that the area access/egress is, to a degree, covered by CCTV so presumably they’re happy they’ve traced people they need to .

Would there not have been some evidence of an abduction witnessed by colleagues on the work teams call that was left running if that was the case?
