Wasn't it the harness that was removed from the dog?

I must admit I did chuckle that she was listening in on a conference call at work with the camera off - whilst walking the dog.

But anyway, my speculation is whether the dog's harness got caught so she removed it to get it free, but slipped in doing so. Might well have taken her earphones out and put her phone on the bench.

Again, speculation, I don't have specifics. If it was the collar that feels weirder.

Sad sad story, not helped by the Twitterati, aided by hours of binging Netflix murder documentaries, being convinced her poor husband had something to do with it because he let out a nervy smile while talking to the press and that the police are covering it by claiming she fell in as there’s absolutely no way the dog wouldn’t have gone in after her

Very odd case but most likely a tragic accident in my opinion.

There seems to be a few witnesses about plus lots of CCTV covering all viable routes out. Can't see anything sinister myself

My guess would be the dog has run off somewhere, she went to look for it and managed to slip/fall in. From what I saw the banks are pretty steep. It would be slippy as well.

Rivers are dangerous.

I'm doing time if my wife ever goes missing. Get wonderfully awkward when in public situations and can't remember most of what I do during the day and wonder where the time went.

Really sad story this, admittedly only from the comments I’ve read on here. I live in a very small town and in recent years 2 people have disappeared without a trace, one a man in his early 50’s and more recently a teenage girl. The police seemingly have no idea what has happened to either of them (although in the man’s case there are rumours he owed a lot of money to local drug dealers and they’ve disappeared him, the police actually had one of them in custody for questioning but with seemingly no evidence there was no case brought against him).

Sadly, in most cases, a missing person still has to fit a certain profile for the national press to give it full coverage.

Tony’s case is a strange one. Lots of speculation as the police immediately called it a suicide at first, then questioned the fella I mentioned and since then have seemingly done nothing, very fishy circumstances around this whole case.

If you’re interested then do a search on Google for Tony Haigh.

He will be the number one suspect.
