I just learned that Wasp/Bee spray kills wasps "electrically"...it actually says on the can that it kills with 35,000 volts. This is bizarre as it is just a liquid that sprays out of the can. Anyone know how this works, as I didn't find much after (an admittedly brief) searching.

Interesting that. I'd speculate that the spray generates a static charge as it comes out if the nozzle, (2 insulators, the plastic straw internally, and the (probably) hydrocarbon-based molecule that's coming out 'rub' together) that would give you such a voltage.
Just my guess.

On the topic of escalators: Isn't the general rule you stand one side if you can't be arsed walking, and the other side is for people who want to walk? I get confused when selfish gets seem to think it's fine to stand next to each other and don't realise the escalator standing protocol. I've noticed this in certain countries, for example in the UK and most of Western Europe, 'walkers' can usually make their way up the escalators on the left hand side without too much hassle, whereas in China you'll really struggle to get up as they're mostly so ignorant they'll just stand on both sides and you've got no chance.
