Disagree why the officer needs to lose his job, what if they tried and succeeded to grab one of the guns of a police officer that they had punched to the ground. We could be talking about a whole different story now, just because you have a uniform on it doesn't take away human instinct in certain situations.

The fella went to work that day probably not expecting two rats to start punching him and his colleagues, he may have feared for his life and adrenalin has kicked in.
The lad was detained and he booted and stamped on his head. It wasn't like he had to do it to defend himself at this point. He has completely lost his head.

No way am I defending the two lads here either. They are disgrace with what they did to the women officers and they need the book throwing at them. They are also pathetic coming out playing the victims as well.

I agree he had lost his head but tell me someone who wouldnt!
Like i say it was probably adrenalin and maybe he shouldnt of done it looking back, but no way he should he be fired because of it.

Horrible lads actually.

However, we bestow a great honour on the Police to keep law and order, indeed even shoot us if deemed necessary, therefore all police should held to the highest of accounts. Otherwise consent will be withdrawn on mass.

If anyone is condoning a head kicking you most likely like to hit women on the quite too in my experience.
You're the type of guy who if someone broke into your house while sleeping with your wife and kids you would call the police and try to lock them in one of the rooms until the police came..

Me, i would get my bat and pummel the life out of them until they were very close to their last breath, according to your logic that makes me the bad guy right?

He will lose his job, that's pretty likely. The question is whether he's charged and found guilty of a crime, with the former likely and the latter a distinct possibility.

On a slightly different note, the UK is losing approximately 5,000 officers per year, regardless of what governments have said about an extra 20,000 officers.

While there will be some who cheer this or blame it on the police themselves, the only people who'll really benefit are the criminals or would-be criminals.

He should be fired. Kick in the face might be understandable seeing as he's just been potentially fighting for his life after being attacked. But the stamp on the head was waaaaay too far.

Mate if I caught someone in my home I’d be no different to you , I’m also mature enough to know unless you can explain why what happened happened you’ve got to face what comes next and that’s likely you stood in the dock .

Nobody on here or involved in these situations are children , actions have consequences .

You can sympathise or even empathise with things but still recognise that you can’t do it without facing what comes next .

You would be languishing in prison depriving your kids of their dad and your partner of their chosen partner along with the boogey man if you could not prove clear self defense. Whilst I can go on providing for my family in whatver job without criminal conviction and having fun fatherly things to do. Just smart i would say... But then I'm known as third bigger Mitchel brother from Liverpool. So good luck to anyone.

He will definitely lose his job because there is a clamour for it.

I would not be a copper in this country. They are dealing with scumbags everyday and everything they do is criticised. If they don’t do anything they are criticised too.

The criminals are running rings around them aided and abetted by courts and lawyers like those lads have.

You’re not wrong in a lot of what you said but if he hasn’t stamped on his head this wouldn’t be a conversation Would it ? It’d have been tea and medals and rightly so because they responded well to an extremely violent incident . Those lads kicked it off and the police did well to control it , then he stamped on the blokes head . If they hadn’t kicked off we wouldn’t be here but we also wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t stamped .

I’m not looking to crucify the plod but it’s not like he’s being hung out to dry for simply doing his job .

I think he’ll have half a chance of convincing a jury he was within his rights and if that’s what happens I won’t cry any tears for the ‘victims ‘ either.

You stated I was the type to hit a woman though on the ‘quiet’. Quite a sweeping statement that.

And now here you are accepting a woman should just accept the risk of being punched by a man because of her job?! We live in a civilised society, it doesn’t matter what line of work they do, we should never an accept a woman being hit by a man.

If you witnessed a woman being hit I hope you stepped in.
Oh yes, I ask all women I work with to step aside and let a man deal with it, not only would I get laughed at, would get reported by said women.

And if I did act out in abhorent way that officer did, I would loose my job. And the key witnesses against me would be by female collegues I was supposedly defending, because who i have no doubt would be appalled at my violent behaviour.

Acting out like you and others are suggesting is devoid of realities in civilised society.

Thats the way i look at it mate from the two guys side who decided to start throwing punches at police officers.

None of this happens if the 2 rats dont resist arrest.

Its a completely different story if the two guys were compliant in the arrest but they werent.

Sorry but one guy might lose his job because of these 2 rats!! Im not having it

That’s not what I’m saying is it? I said step in not kick them in the head. 🙄.

I’d hope my wife and daughter had someone with more of a backbone than you if they ever got into trouble.

“Tell me someone who wouldn’t” they’re highly trained armed response officers, trained for scenarios far worse than that.

The 2 lads should be charged, as should the police officer.
