Pleased to see this latest footage come out so that we can see how vile the 2 lads who attacked the Police Officers were and that they can't now continue to claim innocence or that they were just 2 decent citizens caught up in something in the heat of the moment. The one who got his head kicked is an absolute scumbag and a coward.

That being said, I still think the Officer who kicked & stamped on his head when he was lying face down, arms by his side, and lost control with the one sat down needs to face serious punsishment for his part in the incident. A Police Officer simply shouldn't be allowed to behave in that way unless his life was under immediate threat which it clearly wasn't at the moment he carried out the attack.

And there is also the matter of the video where the lad filming on his phone who had no part in the earlier violence was pepper sprayed unjustifiably and taken to the ground.

Some tough punishments need handing out, for the 2 scumbags attacking the officers and also for the officers who acted like thugs in response.

Seen the video leading up to it all and they are all a disgrace to be honest. The 2 lads punching the police and the officer who kicked him and stamped him on the ground. That officer seems to be the one who throws the first punch as well which kicks it all off. Who knows the reason why he was arrested in the first place, does anyone know?

The statements and police notebooks still haven't made it to the general public. But at least we found out a woman officer had been assaulted within minutes.

They’ve said they can’t comment as it is now an ongoing investigation. The newest video appears to have been leaked rather than officially released. As I said when I posted it, no one comes out of it looking good.

There's your footage mate

I wonder if it’s this video that GMP were referring to when they stated that “new evidence” had been taken into account when deciding to suspend officer, in contrast to the initial statement that essentially defended his actions under risk of losing his weapons.

BBC ran an article of a written play by play of the incident. Which is pretty much what I said yesterday.

But at the end they state five videos are out there. One video which I haven't seen yet, this is how they describe it below. (Just to note officer X is the officer who does the kick/The man in blue was the guy who was kicked/The guy in grey was the other attacker)

"Another video appears to show Officer X later approaching the man in grey, stamping on his thigh, and hitting him on the back of the head with a taser."
