Hi all. Unfortunately my trip to Liverpool had to be cancelled due to a family emergency which meant Charlotte's childcare fell apart. Her partner's Grandad, for whom he is the primary carer, got admitted to hospital with a blockage in his small intestine. Charlotte had a wedding today at the hotel so couldn't take a day off so we've got Frankie. Her partner's Mum (Grandad"s daughter) has shown zero interest in helping out with any of it. I've got two concerts this weekend she told him, you'll have to deal with it.
Such is life. What can you do?

Partner’s Mum sounds nice. Sorry to hear you have had to change your plans, hope you get to Liverpool soon.

I suspect the game was almost symbolic of what our European chase will end up as- so near but yet so far.

Historic day today - we have, at our advanced ages, applied for our first passports!

Hi folks, I've had a lovely day today. Charlotte and I went out while Frankie was at nursery. We went to see The Devil Wears Prada 2 which was very good. I love Meryl Streep. Then we had lunch together and finally went to get our eyebrows done.
Yesterday was pretty good too - I got some more compost and bedding plants so I have some very colourful garden pots now.I also bought an olive tree- mostly because it smelt like I was on holiday! No idea how to care for it but Google was very helpful.
I'm still fuming about the match last night and have not forgiven Moyes yet.

Hi folks, I've had a lovely day today. Charlotte and I went out while Frankie was at nursery. We went to see The Devil Wears Prada 2 which was very good. I love Meryl Streep. Then we had lunch together and finally went to get our eyebrows done.
Yesterday was pretty good too - I got some more compost and bedding plants so I have some very colourful garden pots now.I also bought an olive tree- mostly because it smelt like I was on holiday! No idea how to care for it but Google was very helpful.
I'm still fuming about the match last night and have not forgiven Moyes yet.

I have tried to grow an olive tree but the fruit never made it beyond pinhead size unfortunately. I’m sure our own resident gardeners @jazzy and @Joey66 will know a few helpful tips.

Good morning all on this clear beautiful day ,I hope all are well and had a peaceful night's rest . I have finally finished ( chopped and processed ) the brush wood ,now another clear out of the garage is the order of the day ,some machines I will not use again to make room for stuff I hopefully will ! I have given the dinghy to our neigbour who has a young daughter and she loves to fish ,with luck I moght make room for another car that doesn't work ! I just cannot sell he Jag I always wanted one it is just that with not thinking it through I got one that doesn't work !

I Have 4 olive trees but no meaningful olives. It really isn't warm enough in this country to produce fruit. Same with bananas. I can grown the plant to over 8 feet but no chance of any fruit

I'm resisting getting my bedding plants yet in case we have anymore night frosts. I only have a small patch along my front door so those '3 for 2 offers" on the trays are usually enough
