I was friends with Sandra Green who lived 2 doors away, I was wearing a pink fluffy cardy & her older brother Alan picked up a worm & put it on my shoulder, it was disgusting & I have hated worms ever since.

On reflection, snakes are worse & more dangerous (although I've touched one of those too)!

You can throw a spider on me any day of the week.

Piece of cake, I just need the veggie scraps, some more shredded cardboard and worms. Just wanted to lay the groundwork for full implementation but we're on the way. The place in this video is about 40 mins away so we're debating whether to go next weekend or after it starts cooling down in the fall. Got a food-safe bucket all holed up and placed, so it just needs the aforementioned materials now. I'm eager to try so we may head off next weekend. Will buy the frozen stir fry mix at Costco and use that as feed after chewing it up a bit more in the blender. I want blue wigglers though, not koppite ones and I don't know if he has those.

A successful day had by all. I was chef and it was all warm ups bar buttery mash and veg. Did my cooking yesterday and it worked well. Early dinner and kids ran riot as we got to watch the Hurling in the grown ups room. Very chilled day with conversation far outweighing the sport which was great in fairness. @blue to the bone will be happy.

The kind of day you should appreciate in the moment and I think we did.

Not much to report today. Went to the local for an hour and spent the day there in the end. A nice buzz about and the band was good. One of those days that you leaving many times over but meet someone else for a chat. I love the mix in the local at a holiday time.

I keep a small torch next to my bed, just in case of any issues with the electricity supply etc. it went on the blink, literally, and I just spent the last half hour cleaning it out. It now appears to work. I think it was the nefarious work of that sodding spider- tailed horned viper. I’ll never get to sleep at this rate….

Should be nice weather later that I hope you all enjoy. I’m taking Kay to the chiropodist in the afternoon and my son will be there also to sit with her while I then get my toenails cut. It’s like a military operation….

Another day, another letter from HMRC. So having told me they will be taking this stupid con of £100 fuel allowance back, they now want an additional £450 for tax for last year which I’ve just paid. Any chance of ‘right first time’ from these incompetent bureaucrats…not having a great day so far, sorry all for sounding off again……
