Sounds nasty. Well done to the NHS for seeing you so quickly, for all their problems they are wonderful at times. Hope the antibiotics work soon and your good looks are restored - in the meantime stay away from the windows.Morning everyone,
Well my medical travails have taken a strange twist.
You may recall that I related that I had a virus over the weekend.
Anyway Monday I woke with redness and swelling to the side of my face.
Hmmm this isn't right so got in touch with the GP surgery and good as gold the practice nurse saw me straight away and put me on antibiotics and if it gets any worse to go straight to A&E.
Woke up yesterday and it had spread so with great reluctance went to Aintree hospital ( so much better reputation than Southport) .
Service was truly unbelievable. I got there at 8am. I was seen within 15 minutes and the Dr confirmed that I had cellulitis probably coincidental to the virus and caused by a bite. Couldn't say what had bitten me but wouldn't rule out ladybirds of which we had a load hibernating ( not anymore).
Doubled the amount of antibiotics I was on .
I was home by 10am. The longest wait was for the antibiotics in the hospital pharmacy.
Hasn't got any worse this morning and should clear up in 7 days. In the meantime I look like a reject for the guy who played the elephant man.
It's a bit sore and itchy but fingers crossed will be ok
Nothing else to report but that's enough for a couple of days worth I think.
Have a lovely day everyone.
Don't see any snow there bl.Morning all , we’re in that short period of getting glorious sunrises over the hills :

Wow! Is that really actually it? The one that the American’s confiscated the other week?Continuing my “ photo theme”, there’s a local , very humorous, Facebook page “ The Moray Neep” , he does his own photos , shuns AI and posted something last night which I thought was a spoof . That Venezuelan/ Russian flag tanker is now anchored in the Morsy Firth , accompanied by a US Coastguard vessel. I didn’t know where else to put this

Hi toffee.Wow! Is that really actually it? The one that the American’s confiscated the other week?
Similar thing happened to me about 12 years ago but on my arm. One of the kids got a ball stuck in a hedge and I had to put my whole arm in to get it. My arm swelled up and was covered in a rash at my elbow. The GP suspected something in the hedge had bitten me.Morning everyone,
