Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all on this drizzly one here .I hope all had a good night and wake to the most beautiful morning this year . We are up to Ep.6 on This City , I cannot wait for the next one as the house I built could be in shot as it was 100 metres from Everton park . For the churchy ones the Everton church is the only cast iron framed church if I remember correctly and quite nice too or at least it was .I know I will have mentioned it but off Hamilton road was a dealer - the police found over one million quid in his house .which he had won in the betting office -and couldn't touch it !
Have a great day all COYB

Morning Blue, I hope all is well for you and the rest of the posters in here. Have a great day…..

We live in very close proximity to the A1 and, believe it or not ,you just zone the noise out. It was the same when we lived n in our first house in Liverpool that we left in 1977 to move to the one my Dad lived in. The Liverpool - London train line was at the bottom of our garden. For those who know , off Brodie Avenue between West Allerton and Allerton stations. We never heard the trains , you just get used to it.
I’d love a railway line at the bottom of the garden. We can hear the trains from our house if the wind is in the right direction. When I’m awake in the night I love to hear them in the distance.

Strange day with the passing of Pope Francis this morning to playing in a charity football game today. Apt that it was a day of community that we got to process our thoughts together and being Irish of course we made a party of it.

Pope Francis was a good man, liberal and forward thinking. He shall be missed and I hope his successor continues down the same modernising path.

Good morning all on this wet day .I hope all are well and had a fine night's sleep. Off to the shops today -not Monday - the week is a total mess and then next week we have May day and that means our Thursday jaunt is off , it is funny how you get into a rhythm when retired and how it feels if that is upset by a day ! We finished "this city " yesterday ,it was the opposite side of the park " The L.A. view " side so no chance to see my old house . A question for the ladies who research family trees ,how recent can you get ? I am thinking around the late fifties ,is that possible ?
We have been watching some episodes of "Long lost family " ,it makes me weep but in a happy way for those who find the loved ones .It is amazing how the bond seems to be natural and how they think each other beautiful or gorgeous ,when most of the populus would not agree ,I find that truly endearing ,love is blind ! One episode we saw was based around the family of a deceased Yugoslavian woman ,my word how lucky some of us are it was truly sad with a capital S .
Havwe a great day all COYB.

The railway station is about .5 miles away and it's quite reassuring to sometimes hear the trains gently coming into and out of the station. They only run every hour and a half and not on Sundays and Bank holidays so it was a shock to hear one yesterday!

@peteblue I hope that you have a wonderful day today mate - Happ birthday. Can't trump G's greeting card.

Yet another midnight false fall alarm with mum yesterday. Went over to find her fully dressed. Why? She replied "Well you told me to get up". Got her back into bed thinking - you're nuts and went back to bed myself. Couldn't sleep and think I've worked it out. She probably activated the alarm in her sleep and the responder thinking that she had fallen perhaps spoke to her through the pendant saying "can you get up " I dunno?

What I do know is that I'm knackered, don't know how you cope Pete .

Mrs J at the rescue shop today so when I can be arsed getting up I will have to feed all the animals , pick up the pieces with mum and then find the energy and motivation to go to the gym.

Have a lovely day everyone.
