Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all a bit late on as the wife has cut my hair ,as Samson my strength goes when it is cut .I hope all are well and had a lovely sleep . I tried hard but could get nothing out of @Barnfred 55 on " The Glossop Saga " .No reply was the stern reply . No mention of Bakewell tarts or pies just adds to the intrigue . @Val P I have to side with your other half as I am not one for all the bling if that is still a word ,I did think that they were the most down to earth though . Nice to have Fred back and taunting us again. Have a great day all COYB
I have to confess that I love looking at all the glamorous stuff but what struck me was that the women mostly were (with the benefits of their husbands wealth) bright and trying to do their own thing work wise. Yes @Armaghtoffee that was the one!

Just downloading the one from North Wales which I'm about to watch. There's one from Cornwall from a different series being shown on the food channel at 11am. That's my morning sorted.
Have you been watching Rick Stein's Cornwall at 6.30pm on BBC2? I've no idea if it's old or new but last night he was in Falmouth watching people sing sea shanties.

No I haven't. He filmed 3 series so it's likely one of them. I'll check it out. Think I've probably watched them all (45 × 30 min shows) at least 3 or 4 times.

I must admit I love his early shows the most when Chalkie was still around.

No
Cal used to always say I'm having a blonde moment. But Cal, you're not really a blonde😀😀. Not that I'm doubting your natural hair colouring Val😀

In answer to your question I'm probably being a tad abstract, which is unusual for me at such an early hour.

Yeah, I noted Si doing a solo segment as Dave needed a rest. I thought he was overly his illness and it came as a great shock.
Yes we noticed that too - with hindsight they must have known and it makes watching the series all the more poignant

Thanks to my lovely mum’s genes I am a natural blonde - but dizzy blonde is a state of mind, anyone can do it. However this morning I am definitely living up to the stereotype 😊

I’m sure they both knew it was their last hurrah together and to their credit they made a great success of it. It would be nice if Si King stayed involved with TV as he is such a warm character.

The Hairy Bikers made food everyone could have a go at and I think it’s time for me to start re-visiting those recipes.
