We need to co-ordinate our barbies T. I'm having mine at 5pm. Meatfest today. 2 burgers, 5 sausages, 2 bread rolls and nothing else apart from bbq sauce and hot chilli sauce. My new balanced diet?.

I'll probably have mine about then, if I can be bothered lol I do this all the time, take meat out of the freezer and then not bother cooking it and end up chucking it away because I don't date stuff.

I bought some Warburton's rolls just to whack in the freezer as well just so I could take them out as and when I wanted a burger because I haven't had a burger in ages and so I've taken 2 rolls out as well, so I will make myself make them lol

I have to admit G, I tried my best to eat more vegetarian stuff but the quality of the frozen selection just wasn't up to it and so I've gone back on more meat. If I could cook and actually afford to shop fresh, I probably would be vegetarian much more.

Had a good day today. Went down to see Nicky and sat out in the garden overlooking Durgan beach for a chat and some lunch. Weather was perfect. Made a cardinal sin in forgetting my rubber beach shoes so that ruled out my visit to Glebe beach which is a pebble beach. So decided to swim off Durgan beach instead, which I've never done before. Nicky had her bikini in the car so said she would join me for a swim. She said it was her first dip of the year, so I didnlt feel quite so guilty about only having my first a week or so ago. The water was lovely, cold at first but fine once you were in and we swam for about 20 minutes or so. Nicky went back to work and I sunbathed for a couple of hours to dry off before starting off home. It's a pretty steep uphill walk for the best part of half a mile and it's the first time I'd done it under a hot sun (since I'd lost my weight) and I was absolutely chuffed that I wasn't even heavy breathing by the time I got t the top. Normally I'd be chugging for breath and having regular stops. Anyway I celebrated by having a quick pint at the pub in the way back. lol

Might sit in the sun and have a cider before starting my bbq. Because I'm just having meat tonight there isn't much prep work.

Well today we have had some sad news, I had been half expecting it but at the same time it is still upsetting. Blanche our neighbour, whom I have mentioned before, won’t be returning home when she is discharged from hospital, she will have to go into care. Her short term memory has gone which means she will be unable to cope at home even with carers. Life had become increasingly difficult for her even with our help and the last two years of virtual isolation for someone so outgoing and sociable took its toll mentally. She had a bowel operation during 2020 and lockdown meant she had to cope with this on her own - very difficult for a lady of 85 as she was then but she came through. I know it’s for the best, she will be safe, well-cared for and more importantly have people around her but how I am going to miss her losing her keys and forgetting how the phone and her stairlift works! Life moves on but I dread seeing the For Sale board go up.
