Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Thanks AT appreciate that. I'm plodding along, feeling a bit down but not depressed( you'll know the difference if you've ever had depression) Just get a bit sick of hurting all the time and I'm quite taken aback at how quickly I currently seem to be deteriorating though. I am pissed because I enjoy my walks out with Daisy and they're a lot shorter now.

Morning all, it's my birthday, doing nothing as usual and probably won't get wished a happy birthday as I'm not on facebook, although going to see my sister so she will as she's the only one who does ffs lol

Enjoy the weekend guys.
The sooner you get a definitive diagnosis the better. There has to be a more effective treatment/meds for you mate.

And may I take this opportunity to wish you a happy birthday. Enjoy the time with your sister and I hope she spoils you rotten.

My great nephews were there and I got a chocolate cookie with a candle in lol lol bless them, good lads they are even if they support questionable teams lol one is Utd and the youngest has said he's supporting City with his cousin, I said why don't you support Everton with me, your uncle and other cousin but looks like he's a glory hunter lol

The one who supports Utd is well into the footy as well, reminds me that kids do know more about players and stuff than us oldies who don't do all the FM or FIFA as much as we used too. I knew loads when I was young about football and we had to hunt for information with no internet.

Happy Birthday T.

I know what you mean. I rarely ever got more than 2 birthday cards, both from the same 2 sisters. Enjoy the day with your sister, and Daisy of course. Focus on the positives rather than the negatives. It works for me, most of the time anyway. ;)

I've done my visiting Fred home now lol, I don't like being in the company of others for long, even family, mental health n that, sucks. I'm ok though, got some tunes on and might treat myself later.

Don't think I have had a birthday card for 5 years, my cousin said last year he doesn't know cos I'm not on facebook, he hasn't wished me a happy birthday this year either lol

I suppose FM & FIFA are the modern equivalent of the old footie cards we used to collect (I say we but I know you're quite a bit younger than me so may have been before your time). You don't get the bubble gum with FIFA though. lol

I used to do the panini stickers Fred always lol but as soon as football manager games came out it opened up the world, strange how I used to know quite a lot about Italian and Spanish football as well.

It seems to me, across the board the last couple of decades have well and truly caused a insurmountable gap for just a few clubs in all leagues and taken the one thing our top flight always had which was competition, you still had the best teams but they weren't always the same teams.

Had a good day yesterday. Decided in the end to take the shorter walk down to Glebe Beach which is actually on the Helford. It's a bit stony but I had my rubber beach shoes and the water is a bit warmer than the sea. Still cold mind, but nice once you're in. My first swim of the summer, and my tan is coming on quite nicely too. I'll let Helga provide the pics.;)

Went to the neighbours for a BBQ last night. It was a quiet affair even though he had also taken on the mantle of G&T Friday with me and I took a jug of my home made Mojito for his wife and daughter. TBH, I think he was still suffering a bit from my barbie on Tuesday and the 2 kids were quite tired from working all week invigilating at the college. Anyway, I'm not too bad at picking up the vibes so I declined the offer to top up my glass and was back home by 9 o'clock. The plus side is that I feel a bit more refreshed today so I may start my daily exercises again later; they've taken a bit of a backseat of late with all my afternoon drinking in the sun.

After 4 continuous nights of BBQ food I'm having chicken ding tonight. Actually Asda's finest Ham hock casserole for one that you just stick in the oven for half an hour. It's delicious though and I have it with just a couple of slices of wholemeal bread. Posh sausage butties for lunch though.

Have a good weekend all.
