Good evening all. What a gorgeous day it has been. Had a spontaneous lunch out with some work chums. We went to an Italian in Sedgefield which was lovely but lunch lasted two and a half hours. I'm going to have to put in a long shift tomorrow to get some time back. No news on the neighbour. I went round today to see her but there was no answer, I strongly suspect she is staying with her friends.

I've been to the gym tonight. It was so hot. We are doing a double session on Saturday- Sweaty Saturday at 7.30am followed by am hour with the PT. Oh joy, can't wait! This is all to fit in with the daughter's social life.

@Barnfred 55 Glad you had a good time. @Armaghtoffee hotels in Liverpool on a Saturday night are an absolute rip off. Fred is right, try the Travelodge by the Airport. The Hampton by Hilton, also at the airport isn't too bad either. @CahillsCornerFlag How are you feeling today. Any improvement?

No news here today but it is our anniverasary of moving here so prawns in their shells with mayonaisse and toast topped with fresh dill a la Letitia .

Appreciate the positive thoughts, I’ve woken up this morning - first proper sleep in 3 nights! - and unsurprisingly feel a bit better than yesterday because of it. Fingers crossed it gets incrementally better from here with no setbacks. Have a good day both!

Wow its going to be hot today. Rosie doesn't seem to care and still wants her cuddles.

Big week for her next week as she's being neutered , she won't like that and particularly won't like not being able to run around and play for a couple of weeks.

So housework day today and then a relax in.the sun and shade before a top up on fluids down the pub.

Off to the North West Audio show tomorrow so that should be fun. Mrs J holding the Fort.

Don't get too hot today friends.

Morning everybody. The sun hasn't fully come out here in County Durham and it is very windy. So I'm sat here in a summer dress feeling like a bit of a divvy!
Last night after I posted, at around 11.15pm the police knocked on our door. Wrong house, they were looking for the neighbour. I don't know what to do now. The police wouldn't routinely do that unless they had something to tell you. My brother, ex police officer, says if it is good news I.e the person has been found they would do it by phone but the bad news calls are always in person. Very worrying. I was going to put a note through the door just reiterating that if she wants to come round she will be welcome or to be more proactive and knock and see how she is, assuming she answers. What do you think?
