Lawrenson is by far the most anti Everton pundit on the tv or radio and that takes some doing with Pigeon man Aldo and Mickey the fat tit Quinn in the mix too.

Merson just tells the truth and as far as I can see, has no agenda, unlike the ex RS mob.

The truth hurts sometimes though mate. You can laugh it off when Lawrenson et al have a go. But when someone like Merse, who for so long has sung our praises, starts having a pop, its a lot harder to take.

The OP is well wide nof the mark in reality, but I can understand his thinking. Its the turnaround in Merse's views over the last 6/7 months thats the issue. The fact that probably 90% of it is spot on just makes it worse.

Of course I know what you mean, but put aside everything regarding the size of the club and future prospects, unless Walcott is magically the last piece of the puzzle that suddenly makes us tick going forward then he will struggle to get the right service and options to pass to. In a free flowing side like Bournemouth he will look a better player, at least for this season. I think that is all Merson is trying to say.
