He really is though for me. Nothing bad to say against the lad like but he is a Championship at best player

Pennington's unlikely to be good enough for where we want to be, but, from what I've seen, I think he's easily good enough to be playing in the Championship and possibly the Premier League, but, initially at least, he seems Championship bound, at which point we'll likely get 2 or 3 million for him.

Personally, I'd have let him leave at the end of his previous contract, but it's not his fault that the club gave him a new contract 12 months ago, and he's been here since he was something like 10 or 11 so he'd still be hoping to make it here.

If there's any fault for that, it lies elsewhere, probably with Unsworth, who should have known he was very unlikely to be more than on the outskirts here, and would have been better off advising him to move on, settle somewhere and carve out a career for himself elsewhere
