Martinez is the best manager out there if we don't get major money in soon those with dough will come sniffing - better appreciate him while we can.

He's also a loyal and clever manager. Strikes me as the type that would way up the pro's and con's very carefully before moving on. Don't think he'd jump at the first wave of cash.

Erm I don't think Swansea fans nicknamed him El Judas for his loyalty. Like our previous manager he is not,nor ever has been a an Evertonian and will , if successful , move on when the time/money is right. Some people seem to be making him a plaster saint already.

Clearly there's some jobs that are impossible for managers to down. I truly believe moyes for eg would not have took the Chelsea job, Martinez would not either IMO. Ok utd was too good to turn down for him, same with barca for eg for Martinez.

Of course if he does very well and the right team comes for him he will no doubt move on at some point but don't think he'll be actively working towards getting away the first chance of a bigger CL club.

Don't want to be a bell end lads but let's not forget how poor we were first half.

Although Lukaku wasn't on the pitch.

And if Moyes was in the dugout you wouldnt have seen him until the 70th minute when it is usually too late.

Martinez is the man. If he is going to be moving to the likes of Barca or Chelsea or something like that then he has to bring silverware to Goodison.

SO even if we are a stepstone to him on his way to european CL dominance, he has to bring success to Everton first IMO.

Moyes was a complete one off. He was Fergies choice, nothin more and we have always thought he is out of his depth. Noone without success would never normally get such a gig.

Martinez sees whats wrong and acts. Its completely refreshing to see that as a fan...when we know were playing 5hite, the manager knows it too and realises that hes the only person who can actually do something about it.

This possession football so many of you are not happy about is what sees out games like West Ham away. Seriously, who was even ar5ed when 7 minutes went up? The only thing that was going to happen was we might have made it 4. And dont give me 10 men as an excuse cos ive watched us againstt 10 men plenty over recent years and weve made the game look harder!

Love roberto, i really do.

Aye, if say next week we're in a similar situation and those subs don't pay off, at least he's given it a go, I'd rather go for the win and let another in, he's doing fine so far.

A question. ..what are the odds of Moyes to Sunderland after the January transfer window?

Anybody?

Funnily enough, a few hours before Mussolini got sacked, I was chatting to a Man U supporting friend who wants Moyes out already. I was saying I could imagine his next job being Sunderland!

Me too, developing a serious man crush. Funny when people complain about us having possession. Even when it doesn't get us far its still better than 10 behind the ball and hoof

I like Martinez and backed him from the off but I will not get carried away just yet, We are only 5 games in and football has a nasty way of turning on you quickly

I don't believe that many Evertonians would have begrudged David Moyes the chance to manage Man Utd if it were not for a few things that have arisen in the last year or so.

1. The main issue is he allowing his contract to run down while making it perfectly obvious he was looking to move away from Everton.

2. Since he has been appointed manager he has said some things that would annoy the supporter of any club ,namely that Everton should sell Baines and Fellaini for the good of the players carrers and that he would have sold them to SAF if asked. The issue of when he was asked to become Utd manager and agreed to do so while keeping everybody else in the dark and continuing to manage Everton.

3. Trying to sign both Fellaini and Baines by putting in a silly bid and hoping it would unsettle the players and make them force a transfer.

The image portarayed in football of David Moyes is that he is a man of high principles. I would like to ask Bill Kenwright his opinon of him now.

Only time will tell us the character of RM.

What is obvious however is that he is a totally different kind of character to David Moyes.

RM seems enthusiastic ,passionate and outgoing.
We know that he believes in a totally different style of football to DM, only time will tell where he takes our club.

The signs ,however are very positive.
