Hes played a full season, I watched him loads of times, hes next level bad, I thought he might be at least be able to score goals for us, but sadly hes next level bad.

And you deduced that based on him playing a total of 49 mins as a sub in 3 league games, plus 1 solitary start vs Stevenage.

Eat your heart out Sid Benson.

He played 38 times for Wigan last Season, I watched him loads of times, hes dogpoopoo, it doesnt matter to me tho, I just need to wait for you to catch up.

See you in 6months.

So far, so good from Martinez for me so far. Completely altered our playing style which will benefit us long term, and will actually be far more beneficial in terms of protecting leads than DM's 'throw 5 defenders on and guard our own 18 yard line' approach. Despite the fact we were only playing against 10 men yesterday once we had a lead to protect, I was impressed by the way we never panicked and continued to monopolise possession. Teams are going to find it very difficult to score against us if we keep this sort of possession up.
Can echo what somebody else said in that he's much friendlier around the non-playing staff as well. Can't say I'm overly arsed about how he conducts himself on the non-playing side of things, but another positive for some I guess.

Seems a little reluctant to upset the apple cart early doors, hence why I think Osman, Jela and Naismith have seen the light of day never mind a football pitch. Still baffled as to why he didn't like Vic but was happy to play Jela but that's in the past now.

I'll probably get slated for this as well but his positivity is beginning to grind on me a little. I think it's ok why there is a feel good factor and we're unbeaten but it will definitely piss a few of (myself included) when we have a sticky patch and he still come out all smiles singing the players praises.

Also credit to the players, who have adapted to his philosophy unbelievably quickly. You only have to look at Rodgers at Lpool or Moyes at United (even Chelsea under Mourinho mk II) to know that this isn't a given so credit where it's due.

Overall I'm pleased though.

Still buzzing from yesterday. I am no Moyes basher, but a key from the match was how we kept the ball at 3-2. Moyes would have had us sit back and invite pressure. Really encouraging and I think it will actually help us protect leads better than before.

Also, praise to Barclay. Had a Piotr first half but then ran them tagged second half.

I really like what Martinez has done so far. They way he talks about our youth development is very refreshing and he is backing it by playing Barkley and Stones. Like some have already said our new style of play will really help us in the long term in a variety of ways. Keeping possession away from opponents can only help us, we are now a club with a proper philosophy, a philosophy that is very attractive to most players so it will help us during the transfer windows.

Martinez is also a very smart manager, he is a student of the game. He can really get the best out of all his players by playing them in there proper positions and changing formations and tactics that better suits both the match and the players. That gives us alot of versatility which we didnt really have under Moyes.

But I got to give credit where credit is due, Moyes is also a very good manager and made us relevant again. He was a Master in the transfer market, something Martinez still needs time to show. Moyes really is a top top manager in terms of finding gems for peanuts, the list speaks for itself: Arteta, Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka, Coleman, Baines and Pienaar to name a few. He had us punching above our weight for quite some time, so again credit where credit is due. Hope he does well for Man Utd.

I think he's done the politics of the job very well - kept all the players onboard, managed the support well enough, and handled that transfer window diplomatically.

He's very professional. Much more of an operator than I thought he'd be.

Martinez is the best manager out there if we don't get major money in soon those with dough will come sniffing - better appreciate him while we can.

He was loyal to Wigan tho, he refused the rs and Villa before choosing us. So we will get at least 4 seasons out of him.
