Mourinho summed it up perfectly after they beat us a few games ago.

"They're a team that like to keep the ball"

Martinez plays the worst form of Tika Taka in an era when even the best teams have been found out playing it.

I hate to say it but I wish Sherwood was still available.

Just get a manager who wants to win games at all costs. Fook philosophies, ways of playing, Dna..it's worthless. It's about using the players you have to be affective and win games.

Dare I say it... That lot got the better manager out of the two!

Bobby is a dreamer and he need to go NOW

Bill is a cynical skint dreamer who needs to accelerate is own exit from the club after 20 years of failure.

What a spineless ****! So if we hadn't have conceeded those 3 goals from shocking defending we would have went through. How can you not blame the defense or anyone in particular.

You know he's not going to drop Alcaraz. He just doesn't have the bottle to sit his mate down and say "listen you were bad, I still love you as a person and a friend but I can't start you against QPR."

FUMEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually agree with him.

The problem is the whole team doesn't defend well. No-one plays with any intensity once we loose the ball. When we press we press individually. No one stops crosses. Centrebacks drop off too deep because there's no pressure on the man with the ball, Barry drops back because he has no pace, McCarthy runs around like a headless chicken trying to do 3 people's job, Barkley doesn't come back and help our midfield effectively turning our formation into a 4-4-2, Coleman and Baines press high allowing teams to draw them out and hit them in behind.

It's a shambles and it's the reason I voted for the first time that Martinez' has to go. It's the same problems no matter who plays and it's due to the manager. The individuals don't matter except for Barry who was great for us last season but unfortunately his legs have gone.

I wouldn't be too supportive of Martinez because I really fear QPR away now.

I still think we're too far ahead and have too much firepower to go down however I'm almost certain without Rom this season we would have been relegated .

Forget all the crap that Kendall was in the same position. Fergie was in the same position.

I don't quite remember the very early days of Kendall but from what I've learned it was mainly due to us having a young inexperienced side rather than poor management.

We do have young players but the squad last night's average age couldn't have been far short of 27 and probably more than half the team that ended the game where over 30. We aren't a young team that's finding it's feet or an old team. We have a balanced squad so this should be as good as it gets especially with some of our players.

All the goals were a result of poor defending and he refuses to accept this.

This piss poor antics of alcaraz couple with a midfield who just allowed runners to go past them and allowed players to stroll to our penalty area and smash one.

Each goal could have been stopped at the root and that's been my argument from the start of this season.

The defending has gone to absolute shambles and he has refused to acknowledge it, change it and address it in the transfer window; hence he is responsible.

Spot on Chris, the post match interviews are an absolute disgrace and the fact they he feels he can say that and get away with it, tells you all you need to know about the people above him.

I have no idea why he didn't haul Alcaraz off after their 2nd goal.

Maybe because that would mean admitting he had made a mistake and got it wrong in playing him in the first place?

I still can't believe the goals we conceded. It's one thing having players caught out of position, or just not being bothered to track back, but we pretty much had enough players in the right positions to deal with, and clear, the danger for three of their goals. Why we struggled with the basic defensive stuff like timing your approach, not getting caught ball watching, put your head/boot through the ball and get it as far away from the danger area as possible etc., is a mystery when you realise these are seasoned professionals, not a bunch of youth players thrown into the mix. That said... Martinez in :D

The EL run has kept him in a job really. Imo we've had a decent run in it Inspite of Martinez, not because of him. Foreign teams hadn't worked out his style so it hasn't been a total disadvantage to the players.

I said many of times the moment we hit a really good well drilled side we'd take a beating. It was inviteable.

Can't wait for him to be gone. And a bit of normality, with hopefully a manager who knows what he's doing and how to implement it and change where nessesary.

This thread is disgraceful, a poll is not needed for a discussion to become worthwhile, the poll is pointless and divisive.

I like divisive, it will make my rise to ultimate power easier.

Bang on

We need to forget Moyes and focus on the issue in front of us.

Big Moyes fan as many elude to. But this is correct. We won't be getting moyes back and that's probably for the best.

Let's take stock, look for our next manager behind the scenes, then when appropriate (Prob end of the season) part ways amicably with Bobby.
