Put him out of his misery

Yet you never gave Moyes any credit for years of consistent top 8 finishes, semi finals & Finals and European runs. It wasn't good enough then.
7 years before I made my mind up to call for him to go.

Please don't lump me I'm with these kneejerkers.

So what are you saying mate, that it hasn't been a great little European run this season, because from my vantage point it most definitely has.

It's been a great run mate don't get me wrong. I've enjoyed it and our performances made me think we'd really go all the way. Living off previous results is dangerous though especially as our run achieved zero.

In 5 years time mate will you look back and think "that time where we got to the last 16 in the Europa League and lost to a Ukrainian team were the best days"?

Oh no, that's just lazy saying I don't criticise Martinez - I've been doing it all season, even during this period when his back has been against the wall. What I won't do though is call for his dismissal when he's still early I'm his career with us...and I for one don't forget season one even if it's been conveniently forgotten by you and others.

So I'm not really arsed whether you think of me as a "WUM" or not.

I'm being completely honest and consistent....can you and others say the same?

At one point have I said I want him gone?

I've said I'm almost there, but I've not been Martinez Out at any point, nor am I currently

If we stay up, then I will reserve my judgment into 15/16, as is my right

I've been highly critical of Martinez, and will continue to be until he shows contrition, as is my right as a STH and long term supporter

If we go down though, sod him

I think that's perfectly reasonable

In 07/08 we got to the same stage of the Europa League and lost to Fiorentina on pens - a tie we were unlucky to lose. We also got to the League Cup semi final and finished 5th in the league. This was with a manager who now seems to be widely perceived as having been garbage and a team that is not seen as being as good as the one we have now. Tonight was another let down in almost a whole year of let downs. The lack of tactical awareness in this team and manager are embarrassing. There seems to be no-one in the entire set up who can motivate/galvanise what goes on during the game. Back in 07/08 we had several players who would try to get the team going on the pitch - Cahill, Carsley, Arteta, even Phil Neville. You knew if we put a poor shift in then at least Moyes would rip into them. Sadly, I don't see any of this now from anyone in the team or the manager.

What matters is that we have entered 5 cup competitions in martinez' reign and won none of them.

Now we entered 27 in Moyes reign and won none of them so you know it's not a trait he bought with him.

But we need to learn how to win knock out matches. We so often produce our worst performances in knock out cup matches and it's a habit martinez needs to get us to stop doing.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez refused to blame his team's defence after conceding five goals in their Europa League exit at Dynamo Kiev.
That's it P45 for Roberto

Great European run and yep he gets the plaudits for that but the tactics tonight were an absolute shambles. I'd expect a sunday league coach to arrange a side better than that. The longer it stays at 0-0 the better but he thinks its the right option to go after the game when THEY need to chase it?

Almost like we had no midfield. That midfield should have been packed to the rafters, and we shoulda been sending long balls over the top towards Rom, who we could see after the first leg had the beating of them every single time.

We played into their hands and to make it worse he brings out the 'it would stupid to play for a clean sheet' lark pre game which is an absolute calamity of a quote from a team that NEEDS A CLEAN SHEET.

Good grief.

Thought he was only in a job because of the Europa so it'll be interesting now.

No, but I won't think "**** me! we should have sacked the manager after that EL run"

I had faith in him after Newcastle, I was hoping the changes made would be indefinite and not temporary.
In my case it wasn't faith but hope. Hope that he'd learned from past mistakes and things would be different from then on. But when a game was crying out for a clean sheet and he went gung-ho, especially considering (as it now seems) Stones wasn't fit enough to play, it shows he is still getting his tactics wrong.

He's taken us from saviours to saps in the space of 90 minutes and the continual comparisons to Wigan frighten the life out of me because they will probably be playing in League One next season.
