Last season excited me

This season has dismayed me

My gut feel is give the man a real chance in getting us to a level were we are all happy

Saying that some people will never be happy as they think we should be top 4 and winning trophies every season, and if that doesn't happen RM will be a fraud......unbelievable

So you dont expect us to win trophies and be top 4???

Not quite sure why you even bother if your expectations are so low.

I think it's more that people are dismayed at the style of football and complete lack of ideas from players and manager more than any of that

Big difference in wanting and expecting

I want us to win everything, and would love to see us pick a cup up or win the Prem.

I expect us to sit between 5th & 9th, simply as money dictates the modern game

What are your expectations

I walked out yesterday and one of my comments was the lack of responsibility from players, to many players taking the easier option to many times.

I expect us to win a cup and finish 4th every year, ive lowered them from winning the league, I wont lower them anymore.

I expect us to finish at least seventh every season. There is no way any of Southampton, Stoke, Swansea, West Ham, Palace, West Brom, Villa, Leicester, Sunderland, Newcastle, Hull, Burnley and QPR should finish above us.

If you take the least of your expectations (9th), we are still six points short of that position with only two games left yet you appear to still be happy with the way things are going.

You are not far from what I expect then
As mentioned countless times, this season has been a let down and poor overall, but I don't go on a crusade in trying to get rid of a manager just because a season hasn't worked out.

There is a group that many fall into and that is they never wanted him so now will take any opportunity to have a go at him.

You and many others fall into a group that to me never wanted him so now will take any opportunity to have a go at him.

Thats not really true, I didnt want him, but I gain no satisfaction from our current plight, nor do I want him sacked and at no point have I seriously wanted him gone, I just want the manager we had last season, the fella that motivated the players, the fella that picked balanced sides which played some great football and played "most" teams we faced off the park, I just want a bit of honesty, I want him to stop talking to "me" like im some clueless moron, when we play badly, I want him to say we played badly and know that he will learn from it.

We played United off the park and then the next game he changed 2 very vital players and we got smashed, twice.

But more than anything, I want Everton to be everything we can be.

Last season we didnt get what we deserved, we honestly deserved 4th, it could be said we threw it away with the shocking loan signing we made in January, but I personally think we still deserved 4th.

This season we have got what we deserved, the grand total of utterly nothing, hopefully its been a learning curve, personally ive seen no indication that Martinez is capable of learning from his mistakes, lets hope im wrong, lets hope we get a new Manager in the Summer, that Manager we had last season would be ideal.

Superb again - keep them coming
Take sometime and review your posts, you want him out, but you won't put your head on the block just in case he gets it right....

I dont want him out.

I spent the entire of last season eating humble pie admitting I was wrong to doubt his appointment and singing his praises to high heaven, I did the same with McCarthy, im not afraid of being wrong, im not afraid to admit when ive got something wrong.

To state again, I dont want him sacked, not yet, I am very willing to give him a pre-season, a transfer window, a chance to "rebuild", a chance to get things right, but if by October, I personally see no improvement, then you will be left in no doubt my feelings towards him remaining.

Be brave and just own up to it, also give him to October that is big of you.
A chance will be to rebuild a squad over a number of years, it has to be over a number of years as we don't have the money to rebuild quickly like some clubs.
I would be more willing to listen to your points over RM if you were constructive, in the main you are damming over him so find it hard to believe what you say.
I like RM and have faith in him (could be blind faith :)) but not stupid in to standby him and say he has not been at fault this season. I think he has got so many things wrong this season were last season he got most things right, a fair few being down to his stubbordness.
My dislike of the season started in Lille and went downhill from there if being honest, and I can't wait to see the back of this season

In the main im being damning?

Have you even looked at the table?

Im funny me like, I give praise when its due = last season and I will damn people when its warranted = this season.

Weird that.
