Disagree. We'd have won that no more than 1-0 in my opinion. But they're hypotheticals so I won't argue too much.
I think after the Villa game, this result becomes more maddening. If this was straight after the United game then I'd find it easier to ignore it, but it's just worrying. We've had a run of 6 good games this season, that's our period of good form. So is it really that crazy to think that the other 28 games were the normal ones, and the 6 are the blip?

Chicos an undercover plotter.
At what minute did we first seriously threaten?
At what minute did their keeper first have to make a save?
Possession without intent. We woke up later on but too little, too late.
Passing without purpose.
I'd consider the chances that Lukaku had good chances? At what minute did we first seriously threaten?

No, it's been a poor season.
But it was never about this season it never has been. I would have played the kids for that game if I was martinez.
It's about next. We were very good last year and mostly poor this. All I've been saying is that I'm willing to believe next season will mimic either of those. And every time we do play well (and we have played very well at times) it makes it easier for me believe that we can capture that form again, next.
Your point was that we were playing well last year and then we got bad and in order to believe we can get back to being good, you needed to see martinez turn it around. And well he did. We were excellent against man u. That we blip again, kind of bothers me less, cos we know that the good form isn't entirely inaccesable.
We need to do better next year but I'm willing to wait until next year before I write that off as not happening.

Or are one on ones not considered good anymore. He had two of them as well
His free header on a corner that went wide.
McCarthy hit the post
The number of balls into the box that just needed a touch to put it in where they didn't get it.
Osman's shot that was saved.
Coleman jinking and jiving through their defence.
The penalty that was denied us.
Call however you think it is but we had plenty of chances and didn't convert.

I never said it won't happen next season, I said I'm worried.
Your position is perfectly rational but 6 games aren't enough to show that we're still great, in my opinion. Leicester are on a run better than that, doesn't mean they're not Championship level tosh.
Hopefully he can turn it around, but with less money to spend, a squad in need of quite a few additions and no Europe to attract/keep players, I am (with the addition of the aforementioned on the field woes), quite rightfully worried!
I'll say what I've said all along: if he can't learn and improve, I want him gone.
Our recent spell of 6 or so good games made it look like we might have turned a corner, but in the last two (and Kiev 2nd leg) we've reverted to type.
I fear for us, I really do.
