Been far too many of these type of performances this season, that the manager can brush off as bad luck, the speed in which we seem to have regressed this season is alarming.

Martinez has a big summer coming up, even if we start positively i'm still not sure he's the right fit long term. Knee jerk or not this has been the worst season in a long time!

This is where I question the sanity of people who turn on Martinez based on this performance.
We were comfortably the better side. We played some nice football around the box, and created chances which has been a problem for us lately.
We just were not clinical enough.
Robbed of a penalty while Sunderland were gifted two utterly jammy goals, a massive deflection from a player trying to get out of the way, and another deflection via a hand.
Everton's dastardly luck strikes again, on another day this would have been very comfortable.
