...I'd also chip in with the word 'bullying'.

The attack on RM has had all the hallmarks of it. Certainly not from the vast majority of his critics, but there's been a lot of attacks that I dont think would have been made if, say, a Moyes type character had been going through the poor results we had in those winter months.

A very unsavoury period - especially when those self same people were probably singing about Bobby's Brown Shoes and all the Ali Ali Alio stuff last season.

An appalling period in our recent history, one that's thankfully coming to an end.

Don't be so sure, we have 7 games left and will very likely lose at least one of them. When that happens, the whoppers will be out in full force again. Short-sightedness and short-memory is a scary combination.

well something has happened in that dressing room since the Newcastle game. Before we beat the barcodes we couldn't get near our opponent's let alone actually make a challenge, the captain had disappeared into his shell and teams were walking into our back four with ease. The Newcastle game was a complete departure ,with the ball being put forward quicker people pressing all over the park and our captain leading from the front and getting into the ref's also. I guess we will never know if the manager/captain or players made this change but it has worked fantastically. Me personally, I think a little guy from north London set the tone with his work rate and commitment and the rest have followed suit.

Moyes obviously had a better transfer nous than Martinez, over a very long period of time. Bloody hell, it was the guys only major asset and he made a career out of it.

Martinez spent £10m on Mauro Boselli and Ronnie Stam FFS. Not only that, he actually trained Arouna Kone and Antolin Alcaraz every day at Wigan and thought they were good enough for Everton!

What Martinez is good at is getting about a 1 in 2 ratio on transfers, and luckily the ones he's got right thus far - Lukaku and McCarthy - were the big money ones. He tends to get the players that fit his system well, but for every Deulofeu, there's a McGeady.

It didn't happen then. It happened 30 minutes into the first Kiev game.

There's a lot of expensive flops Moyes brought in too:

Bilyaletdinov
Beattie
Heitinga
Wright
Kroldrup

That's about £30M flushed down the pan right there.

Richard Wright????
Is that John Heitinga, our player of the year, on a flop list????????
We didnt lose much on Bily or Koldrup and Beattie, nothing money.

We made the money back on Kroldrup and a fair chunk from Bily, got years out of Heitinga (including one player of the year season). Wright and Beattie were duds, and even with Beattie we only made a loss of £2m ultimately. Of that, around £12m or so lost; hardly £30m, even if you wanted to be silly and include wages.
