You'd be wrong to do so.

I mean I can just about understand it, we were all desperate for us to lay down a marker in europe, so dominating a european team feels great and feels new in a way that a routine dispatching of sunderland and qpr doesn't.

But we've played much better than those matches against the likes of city and arsenal.

I have to politely disagree. I cant name more complete performances in the past 10-15 years than we have had under Martinez.

Wolfsburg/Young boys this year were superbly controlled games. Like boxers picking off their opponent.
Last year at home to Arsenal/Utd/Liverpool..we were superb. Last year we played teams to submission till eventually they wilted at Goodison.
Away at UTD/Arsenal last year were fantastic performances too.

They were but we had good games under moyes and smith, too.

Like I said, I like martinez but too many people get carried away and make him the best thing ever. They did it with moyes and they're doing it again with martinez. it's why they knee jerk so much when he fails to win them a league after two seasons.

We're not better this season then we were two years ago.
