"It's very tough to get 36 points"

Well in Bob. As your little poodle keeps reminding us, you doubled that and got 72 last season. So how did you mastermind that colossal feat? Has it got so much tougher, 1 year and £34m later?

And that £34m resulted in the addition of Besic only. So it was basically £34m to stand still. Whilst last seasons loans proved great I believe they have contributed to this seasons problems.

If he's going to play in the loan market once then he has to carry on doing it where he gets a player 12 month before we can afford them otherwise you can end up with a season like this when most other teams have improved.

They're not listening mate. These are the same handful of posters who were calling for his head when we were winning 21 games last season.

They're desperately turning over every stone looking for scraps of information that back up their crackpot theories, they dont want reasoned debate.

The good news is they'll pipe down soon and retreat into their cave to nurture their hate in readiness for the next anticipated 'crisis'.

It must be a horrendous world to live in that one.
14th, 28 played, 28 points, 6 wins, 25 points from Europe, 6 points from relegation.. its not surprising some are taking issue to be honest.

Its the ones seem to think we are doing just fine though that I don't get.

I don't buy into the get him out attitude but his tactics of going a bit more defensive or not are never going to be enough to change our fortunes.

Well there you have it, we have a manager that doesnt see the value in winning games.

Theres no point in even giving him till October, sack him now.

....clearly he's now working on the adage that at least 'we're taking part'.

Except we're barely doing that for the most.

There was one bit of the interview he gave to Henry Winter hi h made me laugh.apparently Martinez office is an exact replica of the one at Carrington. Stupid arse Davey must have taken a photo and said 'No! I want it exactly like that!'

Some of his best comments

No, no, no, it is not about being more compact as a team, people don't understand, said Martinez. You don't win games by changing the style

Too many times you see a team that go for being a parasite; they give you the ball, defend, be destructive

Martinez's belief that "if we could have between 60 and 70 per cent of the ball, then nine times out of ten you are more likely win the game"

At last we come to the crux of the matter and if the fans spent more time on why Bobby was hired in the first place then we would have to shift this debate to another thread.

IMHO Bobby was hired because he fitted Bill,s Fin straight-jacket

a) Cheap Hire.
b) Yes man who could be shaped and managed by Bill to the clubs Fin budget.
c) Hyper-positive manager whom could sell Bill,s "Dream" to the media, fans, new and existing players.
d) Won a cup - thus allowed Bill to sell this to the fan-base and players that he could do it again - after 20 years of nothing won.
e) Could bring his back-room staff and ex players to the club which would have helped with saving money for the club coffers.

I am 1000% positive that Bill has no intention to get rid of Bobby because his quiet life would go to the wall and he would have to find another of the same ilk to do the job under the same expectations and direction set by Bill. I feel sorry for the fans who have had to put up with this for 20 years under Walter Smith, David Moyes and Bobby, whilst paying higher tkt prices and in the same ground conditions getting the same results.

I don,t think he has got an Oxford moment in him and I expect the fans, players are all going to be put through the grinder until those words are raised "told you so".
Yes, all roads lad back to Bill. There's no doubt about that. That's why that 'who could replace Martinez' thread is hilarious. De Boer...Bilic...Laudrup. Insanity rules. As if they'd come here and put up with a scenario where the biggest revenues ever are coming into clubs and accept just a £17M net spend over two seasons (£8/9M a season) when competitors for CL places are spending £50M+ net per season - and massive wages for the best free agents. I'm sure they'd love to get stuck into the task of swinging that imbalance around.

Martinez can still be a Godsend to BK and emulate what Moyes did after his second season disaster...the alternative is to get rid and spend more money to have a go at employing another 'Mr Steady as she goes'....and hope that choice takes root.

Cant say I've come across anyone who thinks the present situation is 'just fine'.

Your doing a very good impression of someone who does.

To be fair to him, I've never seen Davek say we're doing well right now, just that given time, Martinez will get things right. I can only praise his support of a manager who has the potential to deliver the goods.

Martinez is making it very difficult to support him at the moment, and I don't have a clue what to think. I don't know whether I want him gone or to stand by him and hope he delivers.
