I'm still very annoyed we have sent Kean out on loan and not brought anyone in.

If we don't get King in then we may get in trouble when injuries come.

I dont want to see Tosun on the pitch at all.

It's the only thing I'm not happy with from him this summer.
Im not annoyed we sent Kean out.

I am slightly concerned that we have nobody other than DCL tho.

But Tosun could probably score goals in this team and everybody claims they want Ellis Simms to be given a chance, plus Rico can play up top.

Hamez is our most important player tho, if we lost him there's nobody in the world that could replace him.

Its a shambles that Tosun is anywhere near in contention for a place in the matchday squad.

He's absolutely garbage and needs punting out on loan.

King would make this window a near perfect one - even forgetting potential injuries we have no one who can come off the bench to try change a game / grab us a goal. King isnt perfect but I would have more faith in him than Tosun thats for the certain.

The most important thing in the next ten days is trying to shift Besic, Bolasie, Pennington et al. If we can add another attacking option from the championship that would make us all feel a bit more comfortable.

However, if we look big picture at this window the encouraging thing is that we have a DoF in Brands who believes in the collaborative approach with managers rather than just buying players & telling the manager to get on with it. This was a weakness dealing with Sam & Silva as their judgement was terrible but their egos were massive but it is a real strength now that we have Carlo (judgement is massive but ego is well controlled). That combination has given us our most focused, structured and effective window of the Moshiri era. Not perfect but it was never going to be perfect given how much mess we have to deal with but we have seen strong initial returns on the pitch.

It is clear that Carlo respects Brands and that suggests to me that getting Brands' contract extended is probably the next big signing we need to focus on as a club.

I'm only annoyed about it because at the moment we appear short up top. I definitely do not want to see Tosun starting any games for us

Ellis Simms is a complete unknown and moving Richarlison weakens the team to let Iwobi or Gordon in. I'd rather us play Josh King than be starting Iwobi or Gordon in an ideal world.

Hamez makes us tick though no doubt about it.

I'm thinking Tosun might be able to do a job in the team as currently constituted. Asking him to chase balls over the top, defend constantly, and win headers and hold the ball up isnt his game. If i understood correctly, in Turkey he was on one of the dominant teams that had plenty of the ball and he provided a good return. No reason to think that he might not see a similar uptick in performance similar to Iwobi and Sigurdsson...optimistic I know. I'm not a fan of his but I'd say there is a decent chance.

Tosun went out on loan in January because he was 4th choice behind Richarlison/DCL/Kean

If he wasn't trusted by Carlo to play in a front 2 I dont see how he'll be trusted to play up top on his own occupying the CB's

He can't trap a bag of cement , so slow .....off to Turkey when fit .....

I imagine Richarlison is the 2nd option up top.

So just to clarify, the difference between a shambles and perfection is ... Josh King.

You need to stop living in binomials mate... it can’t be good for the stress levels to live life in such extremes.

In the circumstances yes.

We aint doing better than Josh King from the championship

We cant sign anyone from anywhere else

We desperately need a back up striker
