Whilst I voted Yes, you could have made this thread about anyone replacing Walsh and I believe the result would have been the same and still justified.

You’re right Dave
The last 2 two PL winners had one and the probable winners of this one have one but we don’t need one.
Barca ,Real ,Bayern ,PSG all have one.
We need one but it has to a proper one who knows the job and is given free rein to do it.
We should have broke the bank for Monchi
Agree with you on the CEO for the corporate and financial side of things.
It’s big buisness now not someone’s train set
Makes sense for them, not for us. They dont have a Sam Hammam character backseat driving on footy decisions for one.

Moshiri does it because he knows that Bill and Bob can’t be trusted to do it
Why do you think he got Walsh in.
Moshiri is many things but he’s no fool
He knows what he’s good at and what he’s not.
He want a DOF to run the footballing side of the club properly
He may have made the wrong choices but he’s doing so for the right reasons

Roman signs off on every Chelsea transfer
If he don’t like it it doesn’t happen
They have a won a bit since he took over
It’s all about getting a team in place that the owner/s can trust and have faith in their judgement

No comparison with Abramovic and Moshiri. The former doesn't get entangled in the media undermining the club DoF or CEO.

Yes Dave Moshiri has made mistakes and he’s admitted that and said it won’t happen again

Maybe he was over exuberant with his new club and like us all sprang to the clubs defence ,mistakenly so I’ll admit
But he will have learned from his mistakes.
I know little about him but one thing I know is there’s a plan and it’s a medium / long term plan
It’s how these lads work
I’m not saying it’s a good plan , I’m not saying it’ll be successful , but it’s a plan and it’s in place.
And for me appointing a GOOD DOF and a top notch CEO are as of now the 2 most important things Moshiri can do
Stadium aside that is
