Can’t fathom why we’d look to bring someone in from the Dutch League - the quality is nowhere near the prem

This guy was raving about Davy Klaassen - if we bring in more like that we’re doomed

Walsh appears to be unpopular on here but at least he has a great deal of relevant experience and has been involved in some good signings for us

Haven't we learn anything from recent history? Dutch people are currently useless at anything footy related. Koeman, De Boer, national team down in 21st, and Leroy Fer is looking for a hatrick of relegations. So with this ridiculously broad statement I say swerve.

I'll have you know a coke-head hero of a Dutchman was instrumental in our last derby fa cup win.

and a heck of a lot of terrible ones

If we're after Brands it can only mean that Walsh is on his way out, and that Allardyce will be going too, with a new man - Silva, Fonseca, whoever - replacing him. Hopefully there will be a similar turnaround on the administrative and commercial sides of things as well. I just hope that we're not simply plucking names out of the air or lurching at the surrent flavour of the month and that all new appointments are made with a clear ethos and plan in mind.
Don't hold your breath on that one!

Good ones: Pickford, Gana, Walcott, Rooney, Vlasic

Not so good: Klaassen, Sandro, Martina

Mixed / jury still out: Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Williams, Keane, Onyekuru, Tosun

Most of the not so good / mixed ones were pretty much the best players at their clubs and so the decisions to sign them were not irrational on the face of it. Martina was maybe the worst one as not a top player st Southampton but he was cheap and only ever seen as a reserve right back option. And Koeman must have had a big say in that one as he worked with him before and he’s from the Dutch Caribbean

It could be also that some need to bed in and will also start to look better as the team gels and we strengthen a couple more positions (in defence particularly) and Tosun (hopefully) starts firing....

Bad signings:- Allardyce, Shakespeare and Lee.
Add to the above the failure to provide his manager with the left sided defender and proven CF he requested =abject failure.

'Abject failure' is too strong. Allardyce's first few games really got us out of a hole. Tosun and Walcott have been very good signings this window. The left back position needs sorting out. He'll live or die by the performances over the remainder of the season. He's done no worse than Koeman / Unsworth so far. Just changing the manager again isn't the answer in my view - who would we bring in - Silva, Dyche?? Can't see any of them being the Messiah....
