fuk me , what happened tonight...We played them off the park in periods of the first half..We were a team transformed...Every player earned their bread tonight...I have been critical of Felli , but he was immense tonight..More of the same boys for the rest of the season..

Rodwell deserves massive praise for tonight. A 19-year-old kid playing out a defensive masterclass in midfield for a full 90 minutes.

Distin was Man of the Match but I'm in awe of Rodwell.

I don't care what the possession percentage was.
When you go up 2-0, you've earned the right to defend, especially on the road.
That was fantastic. Gutty, gritty, whatever else you want to call it. Fantastic.

Typical Everton performance to be fair. When everyone is strict and right and we take our chances there's always a chance of getting something out of games like them.

Im not gonna change my opinion of this season and Moyes so far in it because to say we "played" well isnt true. We defended and grabbed a win like old times.

Happy mood....but boxing day is where we see what we're made of.

Does that translate as , ... ALL THE MOANY-ARSE , NEGATIVE , DESTRUCTIVE [Poor language removed] I'VE POSTED RECENTLY , WAS REALLY MY ALTER-EGO . I'M ON THE MEDICATION AND IT'S COMING ALONG OK ,...???

I honestly cant think of a single everton player that had a [Poor language removed] game. Even Saha put some in a good show of skill and control to hold the ball up in those crucial minutes while Billy dispossessed Tevez and made a mad run down the wing to rob city of their last chance at an equalizer.

Spot on, get infront and hang on for dear life, reminds me of 2005. this is moyes in his element, wait until we have to break Birmingham down on boxing day.

one question, why when victor was sent off was howard still hoofing it long to no one but the city defence. our pass and move is worse than a lower league team.

Good win, awfull football.

Is it just me or did we take our usual match script ant REVERSE roles? We make 2 goals out of our first two chances while our opponent dominates possession makes a plethora of chances and corner kicks but can't put any of them away. Feels pretty ******* good!!:P

Yeah it is.

Just like the WBA game the result wasn't a fair reflection of the game.

A win is a win and always good, and this one was pretty damn good.

All things considered away to a team looking to go top of the league, going 2-0 up early on and going on to win 2-1 is a good result.

Sure we dropped off completly even before thre sending off and it was heart in the mouth stuff.

But it worked because City couldn't score with the chances and posession they had. We got lucky just like against WBA we got unlucky.

Its just 1 game and we are still 14th in the league with the same problems we had before this game.

Need to beat Birmingham and West Ham to build some momentum if we are going to get anything from this season.

what are the odds for citeh putting in a £25m bid for Distin, he was ace. Great backs to the wall performance at times and clinical finishing thats been missing all season. A bit worriedwhy Jags went off tho
