What revisionist pony is this?

We conceded three goals. Only one was down to the injustice you refer to.
We scored once, and never looked like scoring at all in the second half.
Take away that injustice and we're now in extra time, not looking like scoring... the two other goals we conceded are a HUGE factor - twice the factor, you might say than the one goal that should have been disallowed.

Except we'd be playing against 10 men, so actually the game would be wide open.

- Key injuries before game? CHECK
- Poor choices in starting XI? CHECK
- Early lead, giving false sense of hope? CHECK
- Immediate response from City? CHECK
- Subbing at completely the wrong time (really, Geri should be playing the full 90)? CHECK
- Goal that should have been disallowed (Sterling's ball over the back line)? CHECK
- SECOND goal that should have been disallowed (Aguero offside)? CHECK
- Added time being cut into by De Bruyne's injury (should have been at LEAST 98:30)? CHECK
- Everton being a big [Poor language removed] disappointment once again? CHECK CHECK CHECK CHECK

Everton [Poor language removed] that.

Nailed it.

It's all too obvious that 2nd goal was a game changer. We had played exceptionally well 1 to 11 for those 70 minutes and Barry was outstanding. Then, as it always does, we got done. Every bloody time - every bloody time, if we're not busy throwing it away it gets taken away from us.

We give the ball away so easily

I've spent my whole life disappointed by Everton nothing's changed just as bad as the feeling after the semi final disgrace at Wembley

Martinez time is up everything seems in purgatory now the players aren't happy I don't think they even pretend to be, I doubt he is even happy.

Another low point but hey we will get someone else in and this time I. Two years there will be another disappointment

Whether it's the fa cup, champions league qualification, derbies, league cup, Europa league we disappoint on the big occasion

Quite frankly we deserved nothing from the way we approached that game. Jockeying is not good enough if you want to stop a team playing and defending space against a team like City is not right. We should have been hassling from the word go. Stones defending is woeful and costing us so I believe his head is turned or just maybe lost confidence. My biggest disappointment and probably the most hurtful to us is the loss of form of Lukaku. He is actually playing like he is not bothered.
Totally agree, Rom wasn't even sweating at the end and the only time we closed them down was in the 97th minute....
