Sickener to go out like that even though the result wasn't unexpected and it was always a big ask to go through.

Hope City smash the RS to smithereens in the final we concentrate properly on the league and get up the table a bit. Review everything at the end of the season barring a calamity between now and then. Gonna be hard to keep this team together though if not impossible.

Best thing to do though EW is get a new manager in to at least try and salvage the season and ask the players to give him a full crack of the whip next season. No way will players who have a way out in the summer give Martinez another year, he's a top man but he's utterly so out of his depth with us its not even funny.

He can sell the Everton dream when recruiting players but he csnt deliver it.

Kone holds the ball up well, problem with Del going off is that we lost pace to break away, it was almost like Martinez made those subs to see out a draw.

Our whole game was based on counter-attack and we needed a second goal, we were never going to hold out at 1-1, and we took off our fastest most dangerous attacking player and the one player who provides top class service to Rom.

Brutal decision by linesman for that dose to cross for the 2nd but also brutal decision to send on kone-as per usual efc you dared me to dream when i should have known better...heartbroken

it was a comfortable 1-1 until Martinez changed formation to 4-1-3-1-1 that's when it all went to pot and left us exposed down either flank. Serious tactical error. Along with the sub, well kone, to implement the change in formation. Really poor decision from him. Played well until that point. Seriously unlucky with the first two but the second was due to our tactical change as much as the ball went out. Criminally poor management.

Agreed Funes was great and Robles did just fine
Stones and Lukaku earn your huge wages for Everton
Stones is poor at the moment, we have 2 better CBs at the club in Jags and Mori they should be starting every game, I'd even be temped to drop Baines too. Do what's Spurs do throw a couple of youngsters in to show the regulars are automatic first choices. But for that to happen we need to say bye to Martinez.

Yep, we have to keep calm, there no point spitting our dummies out and changing managers. Let's just take stock at the end of the season
