Stop going on about bad luck.
We are 2 - 1 down with ten minutes to go and the next Fkin manager of Barcelona leaves a goal machine sitting on the bench and brings on Osman and Browning
I doubt very much that the next manager of Barca was at Old Trafford today

Hence my rider on who will be fit. With luck, Stones turned his ankle, with little or no ligament damage, so 2 weeks with his feet up will be just the job. The only one who I would be surprised at being available would be Kev.
replay showed stonsey's ankle going right over. I have everything crossed for the lad to make a speedy recovery but it looked like a bad one.

Sorry mate I didn't mean to get snappy but I have been so disappointed with rom since pre season, I can forgive our players for having an off day even ossie and hibbo and howard they seem to be trying their hearts out. Rom's body language stinks and so does his form

No offence taken but he's one of those players. I don't think he's physically capable of running around all game chasing everything. He never will be, it's not an attitude problem.

However he is struggling but so are the rest of the team.

The bad luck we've had this season beggars belief. The planet's aligned sometime when we were ahead against. Leicester and decided to piss all over Everton.
Nope it happened the day before when Barkley got injured. You just knew someone was taking the piss on the day before the season started.

I still blame that friggin mural. Ever heard of hubris Bobby?

The second goal we conceded was an absolute disgrace and I don't mean Howard's clearance. We play a ball down the wing that Hibbert doesn't bother running after and Pienaar is too injured to chase. Instead of Pienaar going down and us making a sub he carries hobbling around. We really need to get smarter because that was just stupidity.

I was as dismayed as the next person when RM made those subs but if you look at the way the way the game went after those subs were made it is very doubtful that we could have played any better if Sam had been brought on. De Gare made two world class saves and one very good save, Barry had a goal bound shot blocked and Lukaku had a headed chance. It was our best spell of the game.

Thought we played pretty well for most of the second half. We are missing our big players from an attacking perspective and that has a big effect on how the oppo play. If Mirallas, Coleman and Barkley are in the team the oppo are much more worried about committing players forward because they know those players have the ability to run the length of the field with the ball. This affects the whole structure of the game.

I think we are a bit too negative in our passing at times. Naismith needs to back himself more. He gets the ball in some great number 10 positions. He should be turning and slotting Lukaku in but instead he always keeps it simple and plays the way he is facing. Last 10 mins he started to be more adventurous and we looked much more threatening. Besic also became more prominent in terms of playing forward passes and running past players. He looks like a player.

It's all just very frustrating. Sooner or later we will hit champions league form and keep it up for most the season raising expectations for next season when some new calamity will befall us.

Don't know why it took us so long to take off Pienaar.

He didn't though did he. 9 of his shots outta 10 are weak shots . I'd put my money on eto finishing his chances. U keep urs on Osman. P's. I advise u to take a trip to vegas. U clean up.

I love Vegas..been quite succesful there on most of my 6 trips, one way or the other. Think 3 days is enough there in one go, though.;) Two out of three of Ossies shots were saved superbly today.

Things I learnt today:

Stones and Besic are Boss
Baines(penalty aside) Still has it
Piennar,Howard and Mcgeady are useless
Naismith Scores but doesn't do much else
Lukaku isn't a winger and is woefully out of form.

Martinez' subs and tactics have been pretty erratic so far this season

Better teams will have alot of joy against United

I think that's why I like Stones, Besic and Barkley so much. The rest of the team just stick to the Martinez script and play the safe possession football until ultimately it goes to a wide player who either loses it or passes back to a fullback who then goes back to Howard or a CB depending on whether the other team have decided at that time in the match to press us.

It's so predictable. We'll look a different team when Besic and Barkley are in our midfield regularly.

We all hate Fergie but his team reflected him. They where bloody ruthless. Today there was a time when the ball went to a midfielder and a big roar went up around OT and under Fergie they would have driven right through the middle where the gap was. Today they just went to the side and all I could think was that Utd really is dead :-)
