we should of won but we lost, man utd are dreadful , but were just to soft and concede very poor goals, and why wait until stoppage time to look interested, lukaku needs putting down hes dreadful at the moment. gutted to lose yet another player thru injury. weve lost every main player weve got now, mcarthy, stones , barkley , mirallas , coleman totally our whole team is decimated now

Realistically the highest we can finish is 4th and lowest 7th. So its not a great amount of money. EL will give us other positives also, better co-efficient, experience in europe, enhance the profile, abit of money from latter stages not to forget the gate receipts.

But your talking as if Just because we decide to make EL our main target we can just stroll up and win it. Sevilla are more than capable of stuffing us aswell as a few CL clubs that will drop through that include one of Man City or Roma or even our lovable neighbours from across the park who we never turn up against.

The EL is very difficult to win and the last thing I want is us to get beat in the semi's for example by "small margins" from say a distin cock up or missed pen and us sat in 12th with no chance of getting top 4/6 leaving us with a boring end to the season

Thank god I bought South Park the stick of truth and am now having a joint immersing myself into the game. I can forget about football for a while. I just have to get of this thread first...

yeh because he needs a bit more bulk doesn't he.Todays opta stats for rom after 94 mins. 1 attacking header won (missed target). 1 shot at goal (of target). whilst being marked by a stick thin kid in his first couple of starts for the club.
I said "natural" strength ie the type older men have compared to younger men.

Well that's what I'm hoping because right now it looks like he would get out muscled by Pienaar.

First half was bizarre. We didn't look like ourselves. We sat deep and left Lukaku isolated up top. We let Man Utd just walk the ball into our half. Then the only meaningful possession we had was in our own half. We struggled to retain the ball in the attacking third.
What I don't understand is why we leave the CAM position empty. Why can't Naismith go there instead of pushing Lukaku to the wing? There was no pressing on Blind or the Man Utd defence until the last 10 mins. I can understand mistakes and rash tackles but I'm left scratching my head as to why was there absolutely no effort to try and close down the middle of field.

We weren't unlucky today, their keeper made 4 great saves which he is paid to do. Our keeper gave his 4th Christmas present of the season away.

Everyone misses a pen at sometime, Howard has made terrible mistakes a number of times.

We will improve when players return, but just turning up for 30 mins a game isn't enough

Comparing to Mourinho has made me think a little. you're quite right there.

But, if roberto started blaming finances and injuries like moyes would have, i'd be sick to death of hearing that [Poor language removed].

So positivity works for me.

At the end of the day,our team needs to believe, as much as roberto does, that we are the best.
There are times when that's appropriate and times when it's not.

are you roberto martinez because he seems clueless as to what to do

I doubt it. Trying to be a smart arse with a few posts under your belt more to the point. Grow up fella....from an old school Blue.
You lack respect.
I was having a bit of fun keeping it light
No need for your comment
Act like old school blue and so i don't post on here as much as you does not make me any less a true blue

Angel Di Maria speaks (via an interpreter): “I think David De Gea deserves the Man of the Match award rather than myself. He saved us throughout the game, not only at the end.”

David De Gea speaks: “In the last 10 minutes they pressed a lot and they had some chances, but I saved the chances and I’m happy for that, for the win. I think the back four, defenders, all the team played very well. A great match and great three points.”
Hmm,who's going to argue with this opinion.
