Fed up of reading anyone dissing Lukaku.
It's the same with every striker we ever buy. You love him because he scores, then when Everton create absolutely 0 chances for them over the course of months and months the striker stops scoring and the Evertonians will get on his back. Just leave it out! Realistically, he may as well not have even had a shot today. He got a header at the end, and a half volley v 2 defenders and De gea in the box on the turn after a long punt up field. We could have Messi and Ronaldo upfront and if we didn't make them chances then you'd all call them both [Poor language removed] as well.
Baines had a terrible penalty. Really upset me that. Would've looked boss had he sent the keeper the wrong way, but I just think trying to come back into a game you really just need to smash it in the top corner and be done with it.
McGeady had another poor game for me, doesn't really fill me with confidence for a 90 minute game. He'd be doing much better if Mirallas was still fit, as only having the one option really limits us. Keep the faith in him though, the talent is there.
Stones better not be injured for ages. Need him and Jags 100% fit all the time. Hibbert needs to go though, Browning looks somewhat better and will obviously only improve with experience based on his age.
Besic looks solid. Will grow into the team with confidence, would be nice though if we were playing well around him for 90 minutes though, give him a real taste of Everton.
Oviedo & Pienaar are back, will be an asset certainly in europe etc.
We show glimpses of beauty, and let us shower ourselves in dross for 60 minutes. Can't tell if the players were knackered from Krasondar or what, but the end to the game was certainly inspiring - it's just always too late. De Gea saved Man U with some worldies and you can't take that away from him.
Edit: + How much better did we look with osman in the team! He changed our midfield play into attack, and we'd been missing that all game, neither barry or besic could do it on their own. Osman to start next game with Besic and Barry behind him, Lukaku in front
