Probably deserve a draw bare minimum if not win in all honesty. They scored a jammy second, we missed a pen and were denied by two completely world class saves. We made our chances they had the luck. Unfortunate to get nothing from it at all, the main concern is now the injury bin.
I make that 6 starting players in Barkley, Mirallas, Pienaar, Stones, Coleman and McCarthy out, and Kone with questionable fitness.
Incredibly frustrating that. They go on about United having 8 players out or whatever but that is our core group, plain and simple.

Seriously?

That was very poor until the 92nd minute, Lukaku looks like he's completely lost it, but he will improve one we have Barkley back I'm sure. Unfortunately Howard has let us down again, poor decision making for the 2nd goal.

Martinez has to start earning his wages here though, it's all well enough having the first 11 available, which were pretty much here before he came, the true test is making a team of average players like we had today play we'll and be able to at least look like getting some wins, he's making a lot of mistakes recently, which might start grating on the fans sooner rather than later. COYB

oK ITS 1-1 -RM has Ovideo warming up for a good time to come on for SP who was tired injured and sits down on the floor so we are down to ten men they attack and TIM H has a chance to put it into row z to get SP off and oviedio on so he blast the ball to a UNT player and from that attack the go ahead with us backpedding as we know we are a man short - TIM H is making some crucial big mistakes games lately!
I knew the Euro cup would affect our season - now stones injured!!!!!!!

That. Hurt.

We lost narrowly to a bang average team.
Falcao got his inevitable 1st goal v us.
Baines missed a penalty.
De Gea has made two incredible saves.
Two more injuries - Pienaar and Stones(please don't be serious).
Our record signing was abysmal.

What flavour bleach should I go for guys?

Ebola flavour?

Disappointing and uninspired first half.

FFS Baines.

Second half we improved in patches.

FFS De Gea and FFS Stones.

There were actually some positives to take from the brief spells we looked like a premiership side and I also thought we looked better with Osman and Browning on.

If you stop the fume for more than five minutes you can see glimpses of where Martinez wants to take us.

No Coleman, McCarthy, Miralles or Barkley.

No bleach for me (just yet).

Oviedo baby,

Oviedo ooooooooooh!

Our run of bad luck so far this season has been nothing short of staggering, yes we're playing [Poor language removed] but injuries are killing us, inspired keepers saving opponents, our luck simply has to start turning for the better soon

Why the hell was Osman put on over Eto'o?

Because he wasn't prepared to take Lukaku off and Martinez isn't the type to disrupt the system just for the sake of an extra body, especially when we were actually creating chances through control of the ball and some intricate passing. What he should have done was replace Lukaku with Eto'o. Osman had that good shot and linked it well. Lukaku should have gone in favour of someone who could actually link the play and create some chances for himself. Maddening to leave him on.

We are in trouble this season. We only seem to up our game when the chips are down and in doing so pick up serious injuries.
I am not sure how much longer I would give Martinez tbh, we are into October and so far we look a bottom 6 side.
Will Martinez still be manager by Xmas ?
ATM I wouldn't bet on it

For whom? Robles? Might as well start 3-0 with the useless bell.

Another poor one from us

robles would not have been as detrimental to our start of the season as howard has, fact. how nobody can see that is beyond me. how many points has he cost us? he's a goalkeeper that's let in virtually every shot on target, been saying it for weeks and as the weeks go by he's dropping more and more points for us
