Just got back. Good game, although we were a better team, i'm happy with a point. Would have been nice to see Velios come on for 20 minutes as jelavic wasn't a real threat and a fresh pair of legs would have been helpful. Haven't seen the tv yet to determine if their penalty was the right decision.

great stadium as well.
Bloody hell. Did you walk ?

We played very well for the first 30/35 minutes yesterday and matched them for passing and ball retention. They came back into it which is unsurprising considering the players they have at their disposal. They had more possession than us in the second half and I think we changed tactics to soaking up their pressure and trying to catch them on the break since their full backs could be exploited.

We defended brilliantly and we didn't give them a real chance to score. Out of the 4 strikers they used yesterday, only Dzeko really did anything in and around the box and that was only because they utilised his areal ability.

Very good point, not many other teams will get points off them home or away this season. Mirallas will be a huge boost if he is for next week.

Onwards and upwards blues!

Very good point. I've few doubts about our ability to compete with the best in this league.

I have big doubts about us beating teams we should be beating.

Cracking stadium.

Just been on their main forum. Most of them think that all we do is 'destroy' football games and fall over.
City were fouling an awful lot yesterday, and I'm surprised some of their players didn't get booked but I also agree some of our fouls merited yellows as well.
For a team full to the brim of world class footballers worth hundreds of millions they were pretty terrible in my opinion but I suppose they have to make excuses. We played well in the first half but so did they in the second. Our defending was top notch and we deserved the point, we didn't deserve to win though.

A positive result, just hoping now we can push on with Mirallas in the team vs Spurs.

Great banter lad.

You sound like a kopite.

We got destroyed for the entire 2nd half, when a team has the ball, non stop and attacks, non stop, its called getting destroyed. Maybe read what I say in future, I said we got destroyed for 45minutes, I didnt watch the 1st.

Or maybe instead of reading, why not just put me on ignore, cos thats what im gonna do.

Toodles.

And here's me thinking it was a forum to discuss opinions....didn't realise it was to agree with everything.
My point was we didn't get destroyed, and that possession doesn't mean destroying teams. If it does then does that mean the ****e destroy teams week in week out? Getting destroyed is coming home with no points and on the end of a four or five nil hiding.
coming away from the Etihad with a point isn't the end of the world.
Clearly my life will be less fulfilled now that you've ignored me, but it's a cross I shall have to bear. it will be hard, but With a little help and maybe councilling I should manage. :-)

Bloody hell. Did you walk ?

Decided to make a night of it in Manchester. Spoke to about 200 disgruntled City Fans, and my god do they not realise how good they have it. and they call us the bitters!

When we do finally win something I'm going to fully enjoy it and party for the whole of the following season.

I don't think they destroyed us in the 2nd half as someone posted on here. They had a long spell with a lot of pressure but Timmy only made two saves if memory serves.

It was me lad.

They spanked us, utterly slapped us about.

PROBLEM??"????????
How many shots on goal or chances did they create though mate? I know they had a lot of the ball. And I was a bit nervous at times obviously. But it certainly wasn't like last season where they were camped in our half the whole game
