No, I'm reacting to the fact that the only two games we've played anything approaching decent football were against League 2 Morecambe and AEK reserves.

This pre season has been garbage and with three weeks to go, I wouldn't count on all those key players still being here.

Pre-season is about getting fit, end of.

The off the park stuff is far more important to defining a 'good pre-season'.

Last season was a **** pre-season - no signings, **** start, selling Arteta on deadline day and getting desperation loans in.

I've seen pre-seasons where we've won every game and still had a **** start.

People panic and worry about meaningless stuff on here far too much.

We played Villareal last season who were a good team at that point. Wolfsburg the season before, and the same goes for them.

Some of the pre-seasons were good. We just start seasons ****. F*** knows why. It's not as simple as saying 'the pre-seasons to blame'.

Personally, I think it's down to transfer uncertainty; not making signings early enough or speculation regarding selling key players carrying on past the start of the season.

Fingers crossed, but we've made early signings and thus far have managed to retain key players. We'll see if this has an effect. I really don't think losing 1-0 away to Malaga will make any difference at all, when all is said and done.
