LUKE GARBUTT

Could have done better with the 2nd goal, doesn't get forward much to be honest.

Been really disappointed in that. When Pienaar cuts inside on his right for us, Baines, every single time, is like a blur sprinting down the line into space for Pienaar to play him in behind. Today when the Cheltenham left mid has done that, Garbutt has been back on he half way line. Don't know whether that's their manager's fault or Garbutt's but it's ridiculous that he hasn't been used as an attacking asset when he's quick and has a good delivery.

It's worth bearing in mind how hot it was, the entire Cheltenham team looked exhausted in the second half, so it's not particularly suprising that he wasn't attacking much.

True, I wouldn't expect him to be attacking as much as usual but he didn't actually enter the last 3rd in open play in the second half, really. In the first half he got a good cross in on the run under pressure but that was it, really.

You're right mate, hopefully it's the gaffers fault, he's got a superb delivery, and if he wants to make it at Everton, he must get forward and link with the winger.

He has really nice delivery all around. Put in some good crosses, corners, a free kick. If he got forward more, which I assume he would playing under us, then he could be a player in the future. Looks pretty assured defensively for most of the game as well and made some good tackles from what I've been watching so far.
