Hi Mr Ball.

I was wondering if you had come across a young lad by the name of Kyle Scarisbrick on your travels.

I went to School with his Dad, who was a top bloke by the way and last time I was chatting his Son was doing very well for the Yooth.

I heard Yesterday he had been offered a Pro Contract as he has just turned 17.

So yeah, you seen this lad?

Yes mate i have had the pleasure, he is a pacy player who can play at left back or the left hand side of midfield and i do rate the lad very much

is this the young lad that ken bates was going mad over joining Everton a few seasons ago
from leeds could be wrong but bates said we robbed them as we have a great young player
on our hands hope the lads comes through we need cover for baines

I have often wondered whether Moyes doesn't go mad looking for cover for Baines knowing that Pip could fill in there for now if needed and hoping that one of Bidwell or Garbutt really starts to stake a claim for a place in the 1st team squad.

Alan Ball will be able to correct me if I am wrong, but I get the impression Garbutt is more offensive and could play further forward and Bidwell is more defensive and can cover CB as well. Still, it will be interesting to see over the next couple of seasons which of these two comes out on top as I can't see us keeping them both happy to wait around in our reserves.

I saw Bidwell play for Brentford a couple of weeks ago on SKY against Huddersfield. He played quite well at left back but I was surprised at how small he looked, certainly not big enough for centreback in the first team.
