What are the chances of this lad being a long-term solution at left back? He obviously came to us pretty highly rated.

By all accounts ive read from those who followed the reserves etc he hasnt developed at the rate wed hoped he would/lived up to his potential promise, so guess his loan spells over the next season or so will determing if he moves on or develops ala coleman osman and a few others we loaned out
 
His technical skills and speed are better than League One level, so he's naturally excelling.

It'd be interesting to see someone report on his defensive and mental judgement during these games. There's a lot of focus on his whipped in crosses, his free-kicks and corners and not much on his actual defending.

Have seen a lot of him since he was at Leeds and captain of England youths but back then he was a real class full back for his age. from what I've read on the Colchester website they really rate him but its obviously not the Premier League. I'd like to see him given a chance. Performing great in division 1 will never show us that he's good enough it will only show us that he's good enough for that league.
