comparing him with jelavic hahahahaha

do we just ignore all his goals in europe then yeah? sound.

Get in the bin.
No one is ignorning his goals. Its mentioned.

We are talking about his overall game, where he should improve and simply HAS to improve. Its criticism of the lad because we want the best for the team on a whole.

Lukaku, but given one cost £6m and the other cost more than four times that amount, I'd expect a return better than this season. Or, if not that, I'd at least expect him to be doing something to benefit the entire attacking unit.

You know that gash season Jelavic had? Lukaku in terms of goals hasn't had much better, and has offered a lot less to the team as a whole too. If he doesn't slot, he may as well not be on the pitch half the time. At least Jelavic ran the channels and made a nuisance of himself, instead of standing still and watching a defender head a ball unchallenged.

Yeah but he's only 21, that means he's excused from everything crap he does cause he's only 21.

21 with over 200 first team games at a high level, but still 21. 21 and worked with coaches at PL level for 4 years. But still only 21.

Good enough to score more than Messi and Agureo at this age and be Evertons record signing but you can't expect him to be good enough to control a football properly on a regular basis. Or challenge for headers, 21 year olds can't do that.

TBF to him for such a big fella and all the talk of him being the nxt drogba, hes always played as a striker who plays of the last man, or picks it up and runs at defenders. Trying to be a target man is relatively new to him

Got to admit it puzzles me,in a few games it looks like it's coming together his hold up play and challenging in the air is really improved. The next......

HA he spent most his time for us offside or on his ass. Some of our fans are proper stoneage who'd prefer the type who run around alot compared to actual talent.

You say if Roms not scoring he might aswell not be on the pitch. Have you watched us when Rom isnt playing its like night and day the difference he makes.

And he doesnt stand still, hes actually on the move a fair bit and makes some clever runs but the lads behind him cant spot the run never mind play the pass
Talented players can still run around a lot though. It isn't either/or. The games where lukaku has been at his best have been when he's got stuck in and ran around bullying defenders.

They do look a bit dodgy but he was even worse at them for Chelsea and at least they have gone in so far unlike some of our other takers!

I thought this penalty was great actually. he waits for the keeper to move and then he puts it in the corner. it only seems risky this time cause the keeper was way off his line there. If he stays on his line, there's no way he gest close to the ball.

A
Service has been woeful this season.

We dont score much from crosses as we never flood the box with numbers, not domestically anyway.
We don't cross quick enogh either. That's what struck me with the first Benteke goal. The guy giving the cross does it way quicker than any of our players. It's this speed that can surprise defenders.
When we have a ball there, we start passing the ball around or dribble (Barkley) until the entire defense is in its place.

I saw it very differently. He waited for the keeper to move and then put it within inches of him. Without the pause it would've been a great penalty. With the pause it was weak.

I will come out and say it.. Jose had our pants down for 28M. Michael J. Fox has a better first touch than Lukaku.

I would rather play Victor Anichebe.

I shall prepare myself for the neg brigade

Never mind the neg brigade.
That's the second time you've been warned for mocking folk with some sort of disability or illness.
Three strikes and you're out.

It's light banter... no offence is meant...
