Lukaku's goals

lukaku is a team player though. i've heard nothing from him that suggests otherwise. he seems the motivational type that can try and spur the best out of others. he's been a bit crap this season, but i'd put it more down to injuries and no service whatsoever in a large majority of games. think he'll be future belgium captain if i'm honest.

we won't be as bad as we are this season again - it's been shocking from everyone. rom's grown a lot though. he's never had a season like this where questions have been asked before - will probably benefit him the most in his career.
I think his new agent isn't a team player and Rom picked him

I agree that he doesn't have a poor attitude. The issues with his teamwork are down to the fact he's crap on the ball, which is why Mourinho had no time for him.

 at him captaining Belgium, though. He won't even get a game now that Benteke is over his injury.

If he had a sigurdson or eriksen behind him he'd be getting minimum 25 a season

Hes not been at his best or had the best supply but hes still going to get 20 goals this season, the lad slots

True. Barry, McCarthy et al aren't exactly creative players, like. Even Barkley.

If we had a playmaker or a decent winger who can get balls into the box more than Mirallas or Lennon do, Lukaku would get lots more chances, and lots more goals.

If, for example, he played for Arsenal, I think he'd score a hatful. And I'm sure playing with their better players would help improve his hold up play and touch

he's 21, he's got plenty of years to play for belgium.

He's scored 35 goals in 78 goals for us now.

19 in a season isn't bad, although only 9 in 33 league games takes the gloss off it a bit. Would still be good to see him get 20+ goals this season, though

If he stays next season, and stays relatively injury free, how many goals do you think is realistic for him to get?
35 goals in 78 goals??!!

Yeah I reckon if General Fraudo (no not Franco's "right hand" man who used to goose @FCBarça 's granny) gets sacked, Kaks could get close to 30 goals

17 for the Baggies
16 last season for us and 19 so far.

I reckon, even without gash Europa teams, if he stays fit, he'll crack 20 next season. 27's an educated guess, probably with blue-tinted specs though.

*negged for "Kaks"

Only 7 from open play in the league.

That is what I judge him on.

Pretty poor return from a man we broke the bank for.

Yet despite this paucity of goals we are waiting with breath baited in the hope that Rom and his agent reckon we are a "big" enough club for him to play for beyond the end if this season.

It's a feckin' world gone mad.

If he does have a Harry Kane type season next time around then we really need to hope it coincides with us getting in the top 4 or at least pushing it very close.

Can't help but feel as soon as he has that 'breakthrough' year he'll be looking to leave us for the next level.
