Would love him to get smitten mate. You just don't see many players these days fall for the romance, far too much money about, I miss the era of the Shearers and the Le Tissiers and the Southalls.

There's a bit in our favour, like Chelski won't be desperate for cash, Lukaku and Martinez both being really into their footie, and him enjoying his experience at the club. Never say never mate. BK might even be release the 30mil TV money at the end of the season, a long shot I know.

Personally, as a sportsman i'd want to be happy and to be able to excel and know that the manager would assist me with that, not be too fussed about doubling my salary (at such a young age too)when i'm already creaming it in relatively speaking.

The bit in bold, me too, hell I'd play for Everton for the wages I'm on now, what a dream that'd be, sadly I wouldn't be worth paying that little for!

Hahaha, we could give Lukaku aa 150pc pay-rise if what was mentioned earlier's correct and he'd be on what Neville was on when he was day-dreaming his way back to Utd ffs! :)

As long as he bangs them in like he has been doing I don't see the problem

Having a reputation of getting young boss players, developing them, and selling them on to vastly richer clubs would not be a bad thing to have. When the money runs out of modern football - as it must - we would be in the best position it is possible to be in.

Regardless of if he wanted to stay and Chelsea would sell him I just can't see how we would afford it. They paid nearly £20m for him and since then he has scored consistently in the Premier League. He'll still have two years left on his contract and I'm sure plenty of people would be in for him with a lot more money than us.

I'd love to be wrong but trying to be sensible and not get my hopes up.

Romelu Lukaku has the best minutes per goal ratio in Premier League history (minimum 20 goals), scoring every 118 minutes.

Excluding blocked shots, 15 of the 19 shots that Romelu Lukaku has attempted this season have been on target.

There abit disrespectful in my opinion. Are they all quotes from rom? Especially the step backwards and the one about going to a big club

From September.... I'd say 100% his views will have changed a little. I don't think any foreign player will truly appreciate the size of club efc is until you've been part of the club. We're not on par with the big boys anymore due to CL and money, being in contention for league titles etc.

Mark my words tho if we some how managed to get top 4 this season and Chelsea were willing to let him go, after this season I think he'd jump at the move.

No.1 i'd book him. No.2 it's not the captains responsibility to offer first aid, so the physio must be bought on. No.3 i'd send him off for bringing the game into disrepute - stuff like that would cause mayhem with visiting fans. The money is still his so would be collected up and returned.

Number 1: Give the goal and send off the defender
Number 2: Book the captain and manager
Number 3: God only knows, probably a booking, similar to lifting up your shirt to show a message.

Apparently there's a theory suggesting Chelsea sent him out on loan knowing he'd bang them in for us, indirectly helping them as we could beat the teams around them. Being Chelsea's "secret weapon". Anyone heard that?

I've often thought this. If they can do without him then lending a £20m striker to a team who are good enough to beat the big teams but not quite good enough to finish above you is quite beneficial to them, if we can take points off Man U, City, Arsenal etc..
